Has anyone got one of these? What's the sound quality like?

I think on one of the Blaupunkt tv threads, someone put they bought a Blaupunkt and had to return it and bought a Finlux and "never looked back"! I am sure I read that somewhere this week

Apologies Afro Thunder, link deleted as the seller is currently banned from HUKD.

What Hi-Fi review Finlux and they only review top quality.

certainly ticks most of the boxes including PVR which usually only available on models costing £440 upwards for similar screen size. No quibble 14 days free returns make this a no brainner

bargain price marked HOT

Just ordered one. Will return if pants. Seems the standard price for a basic 39", yet you get freeview hd and some smart features for the same price :-)

does this tv only have some of the smart features or all they all the same?

posting again so i get email replies

Can anyone that has this confirm if it has a "Game" and "Sport" mode?

thats not a smart tv though is it pagga?

No, but I can get the other one for £180 plus delivery with clubcard points, and it has a 5-year warranty.

Anyone know what the input lag is like on this model.
(does it have game/pc mode on inputs) ?

thanks

This TV is an absolute bargain.

£200, for a telly that records programmes. Has freeview, has access to Youtube etc. DNLA and allows you to play media straight off your USB stick.

Ticks all the boxes.

mine arrived friday with a slightly damaged in transit screen. customer service were good and it will be replaced tuesday so this was my chance to assess quality or refuse replacement for a refund......soon realised I will accept the replacement as its a great TV at a bargain price. BTW you can buy the extended warranty anytime in the first year.

saved £200 against a similar set from the better known companies using the same parts

Ricco amazon review/question advises 8.5 m/s lag for gaming. Ordered one for bedroom

I'm temped to buy one but one Amazon reviewer claims the sound quality is a bit pants. Is the picture quality excellent or nothing to shout about? Is it as good as the Samsung 32 inch UE22H5000?

Cheers.

DONT EVER BUY A FINLUX TV!!!!!

they are useless. had mine for 1.5 months and it broke. its taken me 2.5 months fighting with them to get a refund on the tv, after they have had it for 2 months "trying" to fix it.

do yourself a favour and buy a decent branded tv for a little bit more

I ended up going for the 40" Blaupunkt with 5 year warranty from Tesco for 179.99 delivered. It doesn't have smart features, but that can be fixed with a £20 Chrom

...ecast dongle.

I was considering the same but I read that the input lag on the Blaupunkt is like 250ms seems like it would ruin my gaming/media centre! Can you comment on that?

Also there's conflicting reports that it doesn't come with Freeview HD..?

Apart from the lack of a 5 year warranty and the 100Hz refresh rate on the Blaupunkt this seems the better bargain?

What apps do Fimlux TVs have? I can only see icons for BBC iPlayer, Facebook, Netflix & You Tube.

Bought for son for Christmas. Easy set up great picture quality. … Bought for son for Christmas. Easy set up great picture quality. Connected to Xbox 360 very clear no lag and great connectivity. Superb for sub £200. Great sound Despite rubbish reviews

It has a Freeview HD tuner. I haven't tested the input lag; not connected any external source yet - did you read that it was 250ms in one of the HUKD threads? Because it was mentioned by someone, but it turned out they'd got the wrong model if you read further into the thread.

One of the reviews here says:

I was actually not expecting the sound to be great (it wasn't an important factor), but it's actually suprisingly decent - plenty substantial and clear enough for use in our noisy kitchen.

This is getting more and more tempting by the minute!

Anyone think there'll be better offers to be found in Black Friday/Boxing Day sales?

Just ordered mine from Amazon. Let's see if it's any good..... Fingers crossed!
