Well worth having one of these in your motor, for such a small price they can of course be a life saver!

Be prepared for the unexpected and keep a Fire Extinguisher in your car.

* Includes bracket
* Range of throw 2 to 3m
* Fire rating 34BC

Thanks, will get one of these. I used one the other day, a bike stopped at the trafffic lights, the owner didnt realise there was a fireball right under the petrol tank - i ran in the nearest pub, had a quick half and got the fire extinguisher and put it out oO

my hero moment of the decade

If your cars on fire the best thing to do is get every one out and put some distance between you and it keeping others away-then call fire service.

A pub fire extinguisher is a lot bigger than this one. By the time you notice a fire in you car it will probably be to late to put it out with such a small fire extinguisher.

Lidl sell much bigger versions which are better for fires.

That said, if you are at the point of fire when it first starts, this will probably do the job if your quick enough.

I suppose it's swings & round-a-bouts

Obviously these are for catching the start of a small fire and not a full blown inferno lol.

.......... like putting a fag out ........

let the car burn, infact if its an engine fire and your car has the odd scrape then help it burn,

i had my wiring loom catch fire, fire brigade put it out,

insurance company raped me for things like paint work, couple of dints etc, ended up with a grand less than if it had burnt to a shell

Does any one know if this contains CO2. I am interested in using it for my aquarium.

I think I will need a adapter to connect this to my CO2 distributor in the tank.

Unlikely - looks like dry powder judging by the size and blue bit.

all the small extinguishers available to the public in general stores will be powder.

Apart from those new Tundra ones which are liquid.

You could argue that the FB did it when they put the fire out.

"Fire extinguisher for your car/van/lorry/caravan" so it wont work in the house?

What the heck are you trying to do? Are your fish on fire?

NOT A GOOD IDEA TO KEEP AN UNSERVICED PRESSURISED CANISTER IN YOUR CAR , ESPECIALLY WITH THESE TEMPERATURES

The cold weather will mean that the pressure inside the canister is lower, so at less risk.

People make their own CO2 systems out of fire extinguishers for aquatic purposes to help plants grow. I used to use a 2l coke bottle, water, yeast and sugar. Worked a treat.
