Not convinced that you won't have to bellow at the top of your voice to gain its attention!
A friend of mine has had this problem with his "Echo" for a while and generally hollers her name in an angry voice.
One day he son's girl friend (Alexa) ran down stairs in tears wondering just what she had done wrong!
Why do you need a fire stick to use the blaster? Surely the blaster acts as a one4all universal remote and you just need an echo to control it?? Or am I being stupid?
Echo, turn on tv, echo, open Netflix, echo, select, echo scroll down, echo, ECHO, play this one. Pretty much how it works.
Considering the fact that many already have an Echo and a Fire Stick, then getting the Blaster is not such a bad idea. I just don't think I would pay that price just for the added benefit of controlling my TV using voice. I'm sure they could incorporate the Blaster into the FireTV / Echo or vice versa. Amazon are pushing it now

So it’s a harmony hub that requires a fire tv stick?
So the blaster is what’s imNside the echo cube to interface with your kit?
Had it been the cube instead of the stick I'd have bought it.

The Cube wouldn't need the Blaster though, would it...
Good deal, but the deal breaker for me was the Blaster cannot control satellite or cable devices, which makes it pretty pointless as i never use terrestrial tv

Why not?

Why not?

Because the cube is an all in one - it combines the various jobs of these items, i.e. Fire TV AND Alexa voice control.
NOT AVAILABLE UNTIL DECEMBER 11TH.

The stick performs both of these functions

It doesn't - the voice feature on the stick is for searching for shows etc, the Cube and Blaster allow you to switch things on and off, control volume etc.
Can’t you do most this stuff using the echo dot anyways. Mine is connected to my firestick and tv plus sound system.
Also get them seperately on Black Friday. Expected prices.
Blaster £30
Firestick (plus new remote) £30
Echo Dot £35
That’s £85 and you get the latest fire remote included.

i can use my voice to control my tv, receiver and fire stick, all using the fire's remote. the only thing is you have to push a button to speak, whereas the cube is closer to being seamless, as in, you just speak like you would to a Dot/Echo, and she will turn on Tv etc.
