Yes you might be able to, but what happens when one of these goes tits up? I would much rather be able to walk back into tescos an get a replacement. Than deal with eBay shenanigans.
Alexa, what's the easiest way to load kodi onto a firestick ?

Im kinda getting left behind with all this tech, someone sell me the benefits of these! I've got an amazon stick in my garage/bar, a ps4 with amazon prime and/or smart TV with the same, etc... What advantage am I gonna get from a) an echo, and b) another fire stick?!?

Price is tempting but do I need them?!?

Just got an email from amazon advertising voice control of fire stick devices - this feature has been put in the USA for a while but looks like it’s finally crossed the pond!33388480-VOWFB.jpg

A) the echo gives you voice control of your fire stick, as well as being a very good (my opinion) AI assistant. You can ask it questions about weather, maths, history etc. And you can listen to prime music through voice (need to have a prime account, or tunein is free) and you can also control smart home products that ‘work with Alexa’. You can actually do all those things via the fire stick but will need to do it via the Alexa remote.
B) you only need an additional fire stick if you have an extra tv/projector not already hooked up to a PS4/Apple TV etc. Hope that helped!
NO. NO. NO. No more trying to make couple of quids on ebay. too much pain, I am stopping this nonsense.

easy answer no. i mainly use my dot for reminders and playing music (i don't have musicunlimited). the dot can act like a home phone by using the "drop in" feature, but not many people i know have a dot or echo, so it would seem that i'm ahead of the times. however the firestick (for me) is very useful in having smart features on a TV that is just a TV, but you already have one. i think the main reason for a firestick is for Amazon to promote its online services more to less tech savvy people or technophobes

unless you know you're going buying something beneficial and used regularly, it's a waste of money, regardless if its a good deal.

You want to ask her about Stremio instead of Kodi.

Apps2Fire from the Google Play store. You'll need another Android device to send the apps to the Firestick as the other device needs Apps2Fire installed and the apps you want to send installed.

You can't buy the first gen anymore they got discontinued, only place you'll get one is second hand

I have 2 Echo's. One hooked up to a speaker in the kitchen and one in the living room. Mostly used to stream Spotify and as a hub for the smart home products (Alexa turn on living room lights, Alexa make desk light green etc) but the other features get used frequently. My kids think it's great also and it gets them learning.
Great deal, id just ordered off Amazon grrr
Black now out of stock. Luckily I was after a white one.
