yeah at vastly more than £50...

fireworks have been going off in my are since last week. I think all fireworks should be banned to the public and only for displays. I don't mind paying £3 to my local scouts to watch the event. but when the public have them they do stupid things like letting them off at 11pm. or throwing fireworks in the street ect.. events should be the only place to go and watch them in safety.

Maybe, but it can be returned after for a refund (_;)

I'm in complete agreement with you the only reason this fireworks nonsense continues like this is the company's making money. My dog is terrified by 'em best if it was only done on Fireworks night at proper events.

Go out with a bang

Oi, Not an appropriate thing to say about deeky

Great. Love bonfire night and fireworks. Bought mine from Lidl as usual. Weco brand. The best you will find in any supermarket. Guaranteed! Big bang and heat from me.....

re Waitrose : noticed in my local store today a large Fireworks display 'cabinet' near the Customer Services desk, with I think a large "BOGOF" sticker in its top corner. Didn't pay it enough attention to be sure and/or what the BOGOF related to.

i wouldnt buy any fireworks from supermarkets, they are junk. Waste of money,

I'm lucky that I have a specialist firework shop near me , fireworkcrazy.com, blinking amazing fireworks, so much better than the ones I used to buy in the supermarkets. I know a lot of people don't like private firework parties, but our family all club together and have a really lovely night in the biggest family garden, works out cheaper than all of us heading to an organised display. Then we get to eat inside afterwards especially nice if the weather isn't great. The closest neighbours always watch out of their windows so I don't think we annoy them too much

..and let's not have any bomby night nutters this year shall we?

I recommend lidl or the range if you want the best fireworks . sainsburys are not up to much in my opinion.

I am with tinkerbellian on this. If you want a decent show go to a good dedicated fireworks shop.

I am Manchester based and used chorltonfireworks.com/ once and now go there every time.

I am not affiliated, I just love the service. It's so much better lighting one or two 100 shot cakes than messing around with a load of piddly things.

I'll just stick with my note 7, fuse is a bit unpredictable though.

Another vote here for firework crazy. Buy every year from them and always get fantastic fireworks and service at great prices!

I would normally enjoy fireworks, then I got a dog. you can see the hell they go through! F'in hate fireworks now!

Hear hear. No idea why we allow any idiot to buy explosives and then fire them into the air.

I would always tell everyone, never buy fireworks from a supermarket, and if you see these bogof deals or 2 for £10 or what ever, they were always meant to be sold at that price. Don't be conned in to thinking you're getting a good deal, go to a specialist firework shop if you have one near you.

Pointless things, waste of money... scare animals. Cold!

On the contrary, it is worth every penny to have animals poo in their owners gardens for the month of November.

It is 1 night a year, my little lad loves them for short time they last. He thinks its fun, but hey hes 4.

Miserable sod.

You cant beat a good firework display!

Have you ever seen the look of fear, then amazement and they sheer joy on a child's face when setting off a few quid's worth of fireworks?

This is a British tradition that is hanging on by it's fingernails in the wake of Halloween - so turn your telly up and remember back to when you were young eh?

Go to an Indian shop for fireworks. None of these Farty little supermarket things. 1 fuse, a 500 shot cake. Happy days

Ah yes, the annual "Fireworks are evil ban them!" vs "If you don't like fireworks your're a boring git!" HUKD argument. Personally I wouldn't waste my money on them as you are literally letting your money go up in smoke, but it's not really mine or anyone else's business if others want to blow money on them.

Just don't be divs with them and use a bit of common sense, please?

I was not talking to you, was replying to 'parkz' who I doubt is 4 years old. Bonfire night is one night a year, but sad individuals let them off in garden or wherever anytime of the year.

Have you tried the Lidl ones? I've yet to find a specialist retailer that comes anywhere near them for value. Shame it's always a limited range and they sell out fast.

The one night of the year I get to use my garden without the fear of finding yet another little surprise from Tiddles next door.

If cat owners were as responsible as I am on bonfire night, and stopped their cats sh**ing everywhere except their own gardens, then they could take the moral high ground. Until then, pass me the next sonic boom!

I must be really boring then - cos I love setting off fireworks. It's ace fun, and I'm a fully grown adult.

Unfortunately, nowadays I have to settle for a few in the garden. Gone are the days when you could buy a few rockets and bangers then fire/throw them at people in the street. Back then, most folks had their milk delivered in bottles and there would always be a few houses with "empties" outside their front door....oh how we'd laugh when we'd drop a lit banger in an emptie then dive for cover before it managed to shower you in glass! Those were the days...

you make a silly comment yourself. how about comparing the example properly.
How about giving the dog/pet the same amount of alcohol as the people you are referring to and see if they can clean themselves at any time , let alone a Saturday night.

Jesus, some people!!!
