I know that fireworks aren't everyone's cup of tea, that people think they're a waste of money or should only be available at organised events.........but for everyone else Lidl's firework selection is on sale from today!!

The price range is £3.99 to £19.99 per pack, but you can also get a 3 for £20 deal (each pack being £7.99 if bought separately). This deal includes a Battlestar, Meteor Shower and Galileo Rockets.

There are also packets of Giant Sparklers for £1.99

The items are all made by TNT.

***If you view the link via a mobile the '3 for £20' offer doesn't show for some reason, it only shows via the Lidl desktop page***

Compared to other domestic fireworks these are one of the best. Good rockets and the cakes have plenty of bang for your £

Such a shame they've switched from Weco to TNT this year!

For some reason the Lidl mobile website isn't showing the 3 for £20 deal, but just for confirmation I've grabbed this from their desktop site -

TNT are a highly professional company who care a lot about the products and where they come from. I'd back them any day, although I don't think the public should be able to purchase any fireworks even if they are only cat 3

last year we got some rockets and attached them to washing lines. great fun.

Not belittling TNT in any way, they are a good brand. I just think the Weco ones gave you a lot more bang for your buck!

Afraid I disagree with you there, If handled properly they are perfectly safe you might as well stop people buying petrol as that is dangerous too. Given that more people are killed every year by motor cars than are injured by fireworks should we ban those too?

Aggree its a big shame the loss of Weco.

However, the selection of TNT that lidl have picked this year is a decent selection, at decent prices. They seem to have picked out the best of the supermarkets over the last few years and lowered the price.

Ie, the shot tubes were good when they were £5 at sainsburys, and now they are just £3.99

Galileo rockets were £15 in sainsburys now £6.66 if using 3 for £20.

Few other bits have been reduced too inc the battlestar which is sold by year round seller, and lidl has beaten their price!

They should have stuck with Weco.

Weco.are so much better shame they didnt stick with them...

I just bought the sparklers which is a twin pack so 12 in total and they are 18in gold ones. For £1.99:D

Well we had our fireworks from Lidl last night and they really were a big pile of stinking crap, an absolute waste of money.

We have bought fireworks from Lidl for the last few years and been really pleased. But this year we spent the most we have ever and we were really, really, disappointed. Most were over before I had even walked back to the specified safe distance. Absolute rubbish, never again!

This post might be a little late to be of any help to anyone this November, but maybe if someone is searching for reviews next year this might help. I think I will try mail order next year.
