'First' baggage allowance is actually 3 x 32kg checked baggage.LHR to Washington return inFirst also gets you 420 tier points. You only need 600 to get Silver executive club ( free lounge access when travelling on ANY One World airline irrespective of class of travel + one guest travelling on same booking. You also get business class check-in even when flying economy. Quite a handy perk ). Check your BA anniversary to make sure your flights add up to 600 in one year to get Silver for the rest of the year and the following year. First also gets you into the Concorde Lounge at Heathrow via dedicated check-in and security. When you board the aircraft one of the greeters escorts you to your seat personally, which is rather nice, and yes, I admit I'm shallow

T3 Cathay lounge however is decent so not the end of the world.

To get the prices advertised you need to book through Flysharp via Skyscanner and not British Airways directly. It is about £100 more to book directly via British Airways This is why the link sends you to Skyscanner!

Great prices for first
Is it possible to get this one way?

Fab deal. Traveling first class is unreal, you leave the flight feeling rested and ready to enjoy your holiday.

would be ideal to fly first in 2020 as BA are rolling out their new format / seats and environments. Enclosed (finally) seating, full privacy and more room in both Business and First...

1st class was what flying was meant to be. Sadly too expensive but the likes of Emma Thompson and other double standards protestors dont like the general unwashed in 1st class. Heat from me if only to annoy Emma thompson
I think there's still some 1st class options from Inverness over Xmas time at this price to many cities including SF, San Diego, Washington for under 1800. You'd just need to be living or near Inverness. Hope it helps.

What’s the point in going first class if you can gloat about it on the internet

Thanks I thought so too People booking First expecting Concorde lounge and not getting it would want to know.

1 Billion people use Instagram each month to gloat about what they had for dinner. Or to tell people about how Vegan they are. Just saying.
Well priced compared to normal price.

Personally not for me though, simply because even a long haul flight is a really short amount of time. I'd always prefer to upgrade my hotel or experiences... I only really class the flight upgrade as an experience the first time you do it.

Not really, you can travel up to INV and miss the last leg when you arrive at LHR, albeit with hand luggage or go back to INV and make way down to London.
I flew Biz for the first time in April. It was incredible. Honestly, the pilot mentioned over tannoy "were about to depart" and I was taken aback as I forgot I was on a plane.

From Inverness, it is still available altho more expensive at £2663 pp direct with BA (not third party). Flying an A380 Lon - SF, then 747 on return with BA. Dates are 26th Dec to 2nd Jan. Much better than the typical 6-8K you'd pay and for new year in SF. I guess the sad part is that you won't really have any time in the Concorde lounge.

Would've jumped on it but sadly don't have the time off since we've used up our days for this year with other hols planned, and already done 3 weeks in SE Asia in March.
Dakota77711/07/2019 12:08

If you can afford it, why not?

You’ll be telling me next it’s because you’ve saved so much on hukd that you can afford it

Probably have saved a whole load from using this site but don't ask me where I've spent that money as I have no clue but what I would say is; if you can afford to travel first class albeit just the once, then I would absolutely recommend it.
Lmao how is this not voted cold
Don't trust flysharp they took my money and no ticket didn't come for 10days and finally end up to refund.

Why should it be cold? Have you found this at a lower price?

Can that be booked in reverse?? From USA to UK?
Flying produces a lot of CO2, flying Business/First produces 3 to 6 times as much per mile. You decide if this is responsible...

How does that work?

Economy travel is high density, i.e loads of people on a flight. First/Business is low density, fewer people, more CO2 per person....

I'd also like to know. Plus, if you decide not to fly, the plane will fly anyway so there will still be CO2 emissions anyhow lol.
First on BA is probably like Business everywhere else. Sad to see BA's standards drop so much from where it used to be. I flew a few times to/from Seoul and Dubai and it did not feel like Business

Actually the new seats are only in Business not in First. And initially at least they will only be on new A350 aircraft so older aircraft are likely to feature the existing seats for some time if not forever.!

Not realy a LOL, planes flying empty are huge and wasteful producers of CO2. The fact that they are offerering first class tickets so cheap tells me that they are having trouble filling them. Probably because business class is not that different nowadays. Budget airlines make their money by running nearly full a lot of the time and consequently produce less CO2 per passenger. It all depends whether you believe in (or care about) the threats of climate change.
Hmmm, might splurge on this for my daughter who is studying for a year in Washington; it has cost about £900 for bog-standard seats mid-August and her return is at Christmas, so this would work for going back in the new year.
