I doubt it. Their website states 'Cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer'.

Looks like this offer is available up to 4pm - don't the free kid's meals only apply after 4pm?

Doesn't the 'kids eat free' deal start at 4pm? If so, then you won't be able to do both since this offer finishes at 4pm.

Thanks.

thanks for the deal:)

Last time I had fish and chips at Morrisons I noted the type of fish they use was not specified suggesting it was not cod.
.Anyone know what type of fish they use?

Last time I had this at Morrison's the fish was dried out and luke warm. However we'd got it on the 2 for £8 including drinks deal with 2 free meals for the grandkids so didn't feel it was worth complaining lol

Likely Pollock or Hoki...if it was Cod then they would likely say so!
Still a fantastic deal for fish and chips!

I must admit I'm rather partial to Morrisons fish and chips, often doing the 2 for £8 after 4pm and getting two free pots of tea (no, they aren't both for me!)

Generally excellent fish, not frozen stuff, and hand battered in store. Only complaint I have is that in my local one, the batter is often inedibly greasy underneath the fish, like there's been no attempt to drain / shake it after cooking. Few times I've eaten the whole amount of batter only to feel really queasy and have heartburn later on, something I never get elsewhere - I assume it's due to it not being drained.

Bargain at this price though, I'll be there. Just to note Sainsburys are also doing 1/2 price fish and chips after 3pm, I think it takes it down to £2.79 or so there. No idea of their quality though, never eaten in their cafe!

They are cod tails :-)

I can confirm that the Fish & Chips at Sainsburys are very nice. At half price I will definetly be having some.

That's me sorted this week.

Tip: Bring your own favourite teabags (Yorkshire Tea) if you don't like Morrisons own. Last cuppa I had was absolutely foul. Think they use own "Red Label" ones. Hot water is chargeable in my local.

I believe you've ingested too much of the mercurised variant.

comes with free mushy peas too, very nice it was, lovely big piece of fish, apparently, its due to this week being 'fish and chips week'

Surely this is another non bargain, bargain! What's the chances that they have upped the staff levels serving or cooking? So you'll save £2 but either be queuing for ages or waiting ages for your food. Customer service at Morrison's Cafe = 0 at best of times. I waited 30 mins for food at half empty cafe last week.

So what is it your doing now? Praising them ? lol

That was today's lunch sorted, thanks OP.

loads of fat people in here.

Had the fish today, but it was after 4:00pm - still it was very nice, so didn't care about the price!

I also noticed for the first time that they had a sign up saying Take-away Fish n Chips for the same price - have Morrisons been doing a takeaway service for hot meals for a while, or is this just during this promotion anyone know?

Come on guys! It's free at bhs. Why pay? bhs.co.uk/cms…313

Noticed the same in my local. Depends how busy they are, I suppose, as they will not have time to wait and drain the grease off if orders are stacking up. Best solution is to have the fish steamed instead. No batter, no gippy tummy.

batter at my local morrisons was soggy the one an only time i ate there maybe 6 months ago, but at this price i might give them another go

Thanks op, enjoyed that.
As underground said, lovely big piece served up.
Have some heat

gross fish that have never been in the sea

Brilliant deal! Heat added! What's their fish and chips like? It's it fresh fish that they batter themselves or is it from frozen?

Should be fresh fish cos it advertises that it's award winning hand battered fish and chips (not sure just what award it was supposed to have won)

It was the National Fish and Chips Awards 2013 see here

Morrisons came first in their category - instore cafes, and BHS got a "highly recommended" ..... Or something along those lines

Because BHS is only on Fridays.....

and because while my local Morrisons is only 300 yards away, my nearest BHS is 30 miles. (Still worth the trip though )

Off to Yates's now, for Half Price St George's day menu

Couldn't be better!
But Morrison's will have to wait until tomorrow..... I'm halfway through a mixed grill at Yates for £4..... and it really is excellent. Good old St George.

had this in Swinton today very very nice, very hot and fresh, had to waity good 15min for it to be cooked despite the place being quiet but well worth it. Really decent portion, lots of very nice hot chips, very crunchy peas. Lovely staff too. Brand new cafe but still with classic Morrisons cards to take to table and tray holders under tables.

Just had cod n chips with mushy peas also could of had bread n butter all in for £2.27 ta op it was smashing
