Mine plays that song I like, I wonder what this one does? Oh, it gives me 3rd degree burns from head to toe. Just a terrible idea.

So we've to encourage under 3s to grab and play with something that could contain scalding hot liquid that could scar them for life?

Not sure about this.

My 8 month old son has this. If people are leaving hot coffee in the reach of toddlers it’s more irresponsible than buying them this toy. My son grabs anything he can get his hands on and don’t expect he’ll be inspired to specifically target coffee cups now.

That said, it’s a pretty boring toy. I can’t imagine any child at an age where they comprehend what a coffee cup is wanting to play with this. It’s the usual press a button, make a sound affair. If anything it will put him off grabbing real cups!

You all love this toy!
I thought this at first about the scalding issue, because it replicates something dangerous. However, its no different than the glow up singing teapot that's available. Just a modern twist.

Not worried about kid safety. I'm buying this for me.
The only reason I WOULDNT recommend this is because it doesn’t have an off switch!!
Someone got it for my daughter for Xmas and it’s now the bane of my life
