Product information

The Ocean Wonders Soothe and Glow Seahorse is a wonderful nightime friend for baby. When he is cuddled, his belly gently glows and he plays over five minutes of music and ocean sounds.

The music is comprised of eight gentle lullabyes and classical selections, along with soothing sounds of the sea. After 5 minutes, the sounds and lights will gently fade out so as not to disturb baby.

Perfectly sized for baby to hug, the Soothe and Glow seahorse is a soft and cuddly addition to any crib. Mum can choose low or high volume or turn off altogether.

Excellent price! Paid £16.99 for mine a year ago and my little boy still uses it to go to sleep. Lovely toy!
Good price, heat added. We have a pink and blue our little ones love them. My son lost his at the shops a while ago, sent hubby back to look for it....he asked in the hairdressers if anyone had seen a blue seahorse.....hairdresser replied " a real one? " oO
"Mum can chose high or low volume..."

Really? Is Dad just not allowed, or capable?

There was a piece on watchdog about these being recalled as they were unsafe and had a habit of heating the batteries up and causing burns to a number of babies across the world.
Just saying.
Don't know if this problem has been fixed but I'm just informing you guys
17mins 9sec in Watchdog

I had the pink 1 bought as a gift for my little girl a couple of days before this stopped using it straight away, you just can not take the risk.

Dad's too busy cooking meth.
These are fab, my 5yo still uses hers as a night light (and they're better than a night light as they turn off after 5 mins rather than staying on all night). We've never had any issues with them getting too hot and I don't really see how they could get hot in the length of time they're on for anyway.
Just bought a pink one for £10.99 at tesco direct, came here to post it up as it was the cheapest I had found

Anyway agree that I can't see how they get too hot, we have had one for 3 years and it's never got warm, it's not on long enough.
yes I watched the same programme. wouldnt dare buy one now. just not worth the risk
Our nearly 2 year old loves hers, and so do I because if she wakes up she keeps herself quietly entertained by turning it back on herself. Well worth the money.

Regarding a recall, I've looked at the recall list on the Fisher Price website and theres nothing listed for it and the list goes all the way back to 1998!
it did say on watchdog that they refused to recall them even though they know there is a problem
personally I didn't risk it and went for a gloworm instead
