This has come up before and I can only repeat what I wrote then - this is a surprisingly effective tool for removing large weeds effortlessly. It's a quality product that should last generations, let alone years. The downside? It leaves even larger holes. I've found that going round with an eye-dropper filled with glycophosphate weedkiller is even easier ("roundup" but can be much cheaper from your local farmer, just take a suitable container). Glycophosphate also kills those weeds that can't be pulled up, such as Japanese Knotweed. But, if you don't want to use weedkiller, this Fiskar thingy is the bee's knees when it comes to pulling the weeds out of the ground. Huge thistles, docks, dandelions, roses (we all make mistakes...), whatever.

ordered one, we have moved house with a very large garden that as loads of them

Cool, just found this like an hour ago and thought it may be of use to somebody.
Just paid £25 for mine last week too.

Same price at Tesco and on the double voucher exchange.

Got one of these two weeks ago for £29 from B&Q but with a pair of Fiskars secateurs thrown in. In store deal.

I agree with the fact they leave holes in the lawn but I just put soil in the holes and the grass grows back quicker than using weedkiller. Easy to use and very effective especially at removing dandelions. Good price so heat added

I thought they were £25.00 at Tesco, have they been further reduced to £22.50 now?

+1, Clubcard Exchange on to 2nd July and redeemable until 11th July.

This thing is truly awesome, at this price, total bargain!

Aldi have there own version in at the moment. bought one last week £14.95. Seems to do the job

Bought one of these a while back in Tescos for less than £15. Definitely worth £15, but not sure I'd be willing to pay much more.

Like mine, would recommend

Brought, time to kick weed-ass!

If you've got weeds. Get one of these, seriously, get one. I cleared my lawn of well over 100 weeds in less than an hour and never had to get on my hands and knees. Just beware your lawn will look like you've had moles though with all the holes left behind. It'll be £22.50 well spent.

Does weed killer not do the same thing?

Btw yes I have hundreds of weeds that need to go! Thought this was just a gimmic when i saw it in tescos . Perhaps I might give it a try

Bought this last year for a similar price - amazing product - have used it extensively already

This is a great garden tool, so satisfying to use!

Yeah it was until very recently, not sure which way around the price matching has worked. Went to buy at £25 the other day, got distracted and saved myself £2.50 in the process.

Does this work with weeds on driveways?

Thinking of getting one for the old man, his lawns are pretty good but has loads of weeds growing through his tarmac up his long driveway

I have this and it works really well. The holes it leaves are quite small once you get the hang of it (not hard). Just put some compost in the small hole.

Great deal! Thanks!

These are brilliant. My lawn has never looked so good since getting one. I don't fill the holes unless there's a big hole where a clump of weeds have been pulled out next to each other. The holes are good for aeriating the lawn anyway!

Or if you need them, for £29.98 ( i.e only £7.48 more) you can get these with a free pair of Fiskars pruning shears worth £13.98 at B&Q as I posted last week.

I doubt it.
It needs a bit of space around each weed to get the metal prongs in, which then close up on the weed as you pull it out.

I also have one, it's a gardening must like everyone says if the weeds are in the lawn make sure you pick up a bit of patch fix but it totally takes all the back work out of gardening giving you more energy for the less tedious tasks

sorry!!! I'm a newbie - trying to tell taker920 that no it wouldn't be suitable for the drive - a knife or pathclear is best

+1 from another satisfied customer....does the job great, just be sure to centre it over the weed for trouble free removal at the first attempt!

Was thinking about getting these recently, but the reviews about it leaving big holes in the lawn put me off.

Caution. Hundreds of dandelions and other weeds that have a deep fleshy root (ideally straight too) then fair enough. Hundreds of weeds including your normal daisies, vetches, speedwells, chickweed, blah etc go for weedkiller as this won't really work on those types. Bog standard lawn weeedkiller is cheap and effective but maybe a problem for residues in cut grass.

Says £22.50 on Tesco site.

I have a rockery around the edge of the lawn completely overgrown with weeds nettles brambles you name it. Reckon I could just push this through the lot and pull most of it out. Can't really see the base as it's so overgrown

I wouldn't use it for that, you would just come up against rock all the time. Strim as much as you can then spray with round up, sorted!
