Nice one trying to hold my nerve until black friday though

I bought this last week on amazon for 114.99. Would I get away with buying this and returning it as the original (i.e. get a 15 quid refund)?

Its something I would do yes, but you have to make sure its worth the hassle for £15.

Ha...I was the same.

I bought one in January and loved it at first then got sick of charging it and my wife bought a coloured strap and pinched it.
But I finally missed having it so bought another.
I was sniffing at the xiamoi band 2 thing and all of the others between £10 and £120 BUT.... I love the heart rate on these especially if your using it for fitness as intended. It really helped and encouraged me on our treadmill (tarmac killing my shins still) and the HR read out is instantaneous and accurate (I believe cheaper HR watches take longer to display the readings) so for me, if your wanting a quick glance at your watch to see how close your jogging to death then this is good and reliable.
The gps function is a joke as you need it to be connected to your mobile (may as well just use strava!)
Happy days
Hope the post helps
BONUS AS THIS ISNT A GEARBEST POST SO AT LEAST DESERVES SOME HEAT?

we had three of these all had different faults, last one managed to burn 200 calories and 1000 steps sitting in the box ready for me to package it up. The ghost must be putting in a shift seriously though spoke to about 5 people at work who have had them and all have had issues, from simple things like the strap going on one to software issues or complete failure on others. One friend who had a lesser version was told by fitbit they would replace theirs, but didnt have any in stock and for extra money they could upgrade, cost was the same as this one which was at the time more expensive than we paid for our three. If you can get it from John Lewis, at least then you will have a 2 year guarantee normally.

In fairness every single watch design on the market has exactly the same issues.
And of course it will count steps in a box. It works on steps and magic.

Ditto. My wife wants one for her birthday (tomorrow) but said she'd happily wait until Black Friday since she'd hate it to cost more buying now. Suppose big question is whether this is a temporary drop by Amazon, or whether it'll stick and then drop further in a couple of Fridays' time!? Since it's so easy to return things on Prime I'm tempted to buy now, and then return re-buy if Black Friday drops lower.

Try amazon fresh on a first order, over £90 you could get £30 off, they have a couple of fitbits

Bought it a year ago twice broke down. Luckily bought from amazon got mo ey back no problem.

Got one of these on Prime day for £85 so probably be a black friday deal as well. Got lost so they sent a replacement both turned up. Thought I was onto a winner but one of them broke and I expect the other to do the same. Great for letting me know how little I have slept. The calorie app is useless unless you live in the US as no UK products are listed.,

That's a nice price.
My concern would be returning it if there was a problem. I've never sent anything back to QVC yet the return process to Amazon is simple and reliable.

You can try asking amazon to price match it

This or the Alta?

This. This is such a bloody good shout. I'd be sticking it in a thread of its own if you haven't already.

Fitbit offer a two year warranty on all their devices. I’ve had a replacement from them previously, shipped over in plain packaging from the Netherlands. Always found their customer service to be excellent.

I REALLY don't understand anyone buying these unless you're a 'premium brand' junkie. Six Xiaomi Mi2s iamongst family and friends (7th on its way). All still working perfectly, charge lasts over a month, they do everything these do (incl heart rate) and the app is excellent. Even if bought from Amazon in UK they're only just over £20.

I totally understand what your saying. My daughters cheap HR band lasts for ages, but the HR display is slow and not at a glance and keeps losing connectivity with her phone which is annoying. But it was only £25 and a decent enough alternative however I personally like the display and ease of use that the charge 2. As mentioned I stopped using mine as I got sick of charging it up but now I'm back running I miss the excellent HR function and quality etc.

What does this do that a miband 2 doesn't. Honest question as Mrs keeps on about one.

I would add that Fitbit support are usually pretty good with replacing faulty watches. My old charge HR got replace three (!) times and then when thy no longer had stock of those I got on of these Charge 2s for free instead. Other older Fitbit owners might benefit from knowing this before buying brand new!

Cheers your right and already mentioned earlier on in the comments and all I would say is that its personal choice. QVC don't do free returns and state that you need to return any item back to them via myhermes @ £3.95 and me personally I would rather stick with amazon's free returns and excellent service however 3 months interest free is good if you want to spread the cost if needed.

Oh im sorry I never noticed it was mentioned already about QVC .. still half alseep and remembered seein it last night on FB... personally QVC are up there with Amazon on customer service and returns other than the charge. 3 months part might be a shout with xmas round the corner though !

Is this the same model on QVC’s deal of the day today

Very tempted, the wife keeps nicking my gear fit 2 that came with my phone. Just reluctance as I don't have a clue about smart watches. Have heat mate

QVC Have this today over £10 cheaper and payable over 3mths....

I had one of these and loved it, but it left a serious indent on my wrist ( not caused by being too tight) Fitbit asked me to return for a refund. There is a thread about this on the Fitbit community.Arm still has a big dent after 1 month of not wearing, another person on the Fitbit Community said it took a year to go away.Might be ok if you don’t wear at night

But you just confirm what I said build quality is shocking what else would you recommend that failed three times even if it had good customer care. As recently as two weeks ago they wanted my friend to pay to upgrade a fault

Yeah the product seems poorly made! I’m just glad that in my case they haven’t made me fork out - if they had, I’d be livid!

Use MyFitnessPal for calorie tracking, their app and the Fitbit app sync with each other.

QVC had this as Today's Special Value today at £93.89 Inc p&p but have sold
