It's their strategy. They want the consumer to be confident that Amazon's price won't be found cheaper anywhere else, believing the consumer will eventually trust Amazon's price will always be the best and won't need to shop around. As I understand it they hope to put rivals out of business and once this is the case they can create whatever price point they like.

Not everything is a conspiracy theory. I've never seen Amazon be more expensive than another retailer. Just the opposite - they are usually cheaper by a considerable margin.

That's the point, they always want to be the cheapest and if not they will price match the cheapest retailer. It's not a conspiracy theory - this is their price matching strategy, someone asked the question, I'm just letting them know why they do this. They are not interested in the what price they are matching (within reason), they don't make a profit - they are just looking at the long term.

By they way I shop at Amazon too, so am not anti-Amazon

Amazon prime delivery just arrived. Charging it now.
Got the Large Black Fitbit for £57.87 via Flubit.
Can't decide between the Fitbit Charge HR vs Garmin Vivofit2, any recommendations?
why do the prices vary so much with flubit?

I was also in confusion to choose between Band & Fitbit. But decided with this as Band1 is too big and tough strip and uncomforatble in wearing. Topcash back offers £10 cashback on Band1.
Picked one up from Argos this morning, it seems pretty good so far!
Cheers, voted hot as my work-mate loves hers and has persuaded me to jump on the bandwagon
£58.15 via FluBit.. Never used them before but it's worth a try!

I had the Vivofit 2, and now have the Charge HR. Much prefer the Charge, a lot more features and in my opinion better value. Wish I had bought the Charge first and at this price its a bargain.

I was looking at the Fitbit, but then saw Garmin are releasing a new one, Vivosmart HR - apparently it is a lot better, and better quality than the Fitbit. Its out in the UK on...30th on this month i beleive
Great find OP - another xmas pressie off the list..
Ordered, been waiting for one of these, big thank you
Received and charged it fully yesterday afternoon - used as normal, HR monitor on, all day sync on, call notification disabled and set 1x silent alarm. Only half the battery left now. This is pretty shockingly bad. Makes iWatch battery feel good.

Will try disabling the all day sync - apparently that increases the battery for a bit.

Anybody got any advice on getting the best result for step tracking? I'm trying my non-dominant wrist with the dominant setting (supposedly less sensitive) but getting a lot of ghost steps, even when sitting on the sofa.
Now OOS
