They pop up on here, I paid less than £15 in December.

Yep, regularly posted on here, usually from China so delivery can be slow (3-4 weeks at worst). I've bought five over a few months for family members and I think the lowest I paid was under £11, the most about £15. Brilliant bits of kit with an excellent app to go with them and a battery charge life of 3 weeks or more. So cheap they're almost disposable but you won't want to.

If you're searching be careful not to confuse them with the Mi Band 1, which is even cheaper but doesn't have a screen.

More reliable (I bought a xiaomi with heart rate from China a while back to see what the hype was all about and it broke in a couple of days), better app, better support (repairs and replacements) friends and family using Fitbit already. I have had numerous Fitbit devices and none are perfect but this is waterproof and pretty well shock proof. Great value for money

I've got 3 within my family, we've had them for a while too. None have broke on us and in terms of support, I didn't expect much but I've seen pretty frequent updates with some cool features like more in-depth sleep information when you track it, options to setup band notifications for any application etc and all wrapped in a neat and easy to use UI.

Initially i was impressed with Xiaomi and I'm happy to say, i still am. So not sure how yours was able to break so easy but that certainly wasn't the case for us

My wife had a similar experience to be fair. Mi band 2 malfunctioned after a month, she replaced it with a Fitbit and not had an ounce of trouble, she much prefers the app and tracking seems more accurate.
I've had 2 Fitbit Charge HR burn a hole through the strap when charging, I'll NOT be touching that dangerous junk again! I have photos as proof upon request.
Prefer the Flex to HR personally. I had HR 1 but got rid of it after wearing it for a whole year. Few months ago picked up one of these and I love it. In my opinion its more slick looking, and unless you really need heart rate then I don't see why you'd go for the HR version of this.

Also, this is water proof, so you can go swimming with it. The only issue that I find with this, you can tell it that you're about to do exercise, its 'auto' detected.
