My Fitbit has recorded changing gear while driving as steps. They're not 100% accurate but they're good enough as a rough guide and to encourage you to keep active. Yes you can fool them but you're literally only fooling yourself.

You're comparing the price of the inspire to the inspire HR. Both are £10 more at fitbit compared to argos price

The HR for £69.99 is a great price
Just bought the purple one for the missus but had to send back it's terrible at tracking steps and I mean terrible.....have a look at reviews online a lot of people suffering the same.

All Fitbits are, just waving at someone or doing the washing up counts as steps! No wonder you see fat people complain that they aren’t losing weight but doing all the steps it’s a limitation of these devices but if you understand that they are quite good.
Yeah that's why most people don't mind they can say oh look how many steps I have done today. But comparing to other step trackers they are way off even sat down doing nothing they rack up loads of steps ....

Sorry but dont phones do a better job tracking than Fitbit?
I wear my Fitbit everyday and it tracks perfect and also tracks when I am pushing the pram
