Good price, only yesterday told by Fitbit that my 2 year and 2 month old one cannot have a battery replaced as out of warranty I'm going to do more research on my next Fitness tracker to see what the aftersales service is like and decide if spending over £120 is worth it. If anyone knows if any trackers come with a decent aftersales service please advise!
Can you stream Google play music on this without having my phone nearby?
Is the v1 or v2???
Cant believe the rose gold white amazon exclusive version has disappeared from the website, i wanted to buy that as xmas gift

Offered 25%, but cant bring myself to throw more money at them as they said and I quote verbatim

"We know that this is not the resolution that you're looking for today but if there was only a way for us to offer you a replacement, we will willingly do so. However, we do not have the capability to proceed as the policy no longer allow us."

I'm assuming since the google takeover of Fitbit they only thing google wanted to get their hands on was the Fitbit data and no longer give a dam about people who have faulty Fitbits.

Which model is this?
As the Versa was released April 2018 (20 months ago), I’ve had mine since release and touch wood has been great (to the point I’m trying to get another for a Christmas gift; was hoping the original model would drop to circa £100 at black friday but no such luck!).

I’ve had fitbits for a few years and never had issues with their customer service (I had a Charge HR original which had the ‘falling apart’ design flaw, that they replaced).

If it isn’t holding any charge/ not useable, perhaps try the retailer you bought it from under consumer laws (I did this before with PcWorld with a defect laptop):

As far as I know, only Deezer or downloading music directly onto the watch itself:

help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2251

However if ‘not nearby’ is still within bluetooth range, then you could stream the music from your phone to headphones/speaker; and then use the music controls on the versa via bluetooth to control the phone (which is what I do with spotify)

Mine was a Blaze, sadly Fitbit were more generous in the early days but its all changed now. Allow 2 years under warranty and after that forget it! PS I will try the retailer as I think 2 years 2 months for a £170 fitness tracker is not good. Thanks for your input.
