might just pop in on the way to work....never know my luck!

Thanks, have called and got a pink and black flex put aside for £35 each!

Good deal - but I'd rather not know how unfit I am :-)

are these the older models? can't see the original flex on amazon, the flex 2 is £70

Probably older model but still a cheap way to try a good fitness tracker product out before making a later punt for the newer model!

Also the Charge HR can't really be listed as reduce from £120.......surely? The Charge 2, which i ended up getting, is down as £120 RRP...

If you're in the market for a fitness band, go for the Xiaomi Mi Band 2. It's £20 and does everything the Fitbit Charge HR does, plus its smaller, more comfortable and has a better battery life. I'm very impressed with mine (although it did take 3 weeks to arrive).

I second that. Wife has a fitbit and I have Mi Band 2 - mine has better software, better detection and better battery at 1/4 of the price. I charged it on 19 January and have worn it day and night ever since. I still have 34% battery.

The Chinese stuff is usually a compromise, but in this case the Mi Band 2 is streets ahead.

Having said that, this is a good price for the brand followers.

Hi where did you buy these from? Was going to go the fitbit route

Another prop for part-timers with all the gear and no idea.

Got mine from Gearbest here: Xiaomi Mi Band 2

It did take quite a while to arrive (about 3/4 weeks), but I ordered a Xiaomi phone recently from Gearbest too and that arrived in about 5 days! I selected standard free shipping for both.

When all your friends that you're in competition with have Fitbits, a Mi Band is about as good as a chocolate fireguard.
I disagree about the software too. The web UI on fitbit is outstanding (I have both btw, plus right now my band of choice is a Samsung Fit Gear 2).

Yes the fitbit web app is very highly regarded in the industry. One of the best.

I'm sorry, but I don't get the point of these. My partner got a Mi Band 2. The sleep monitor is a joke - ridiculously inaccurate. Heart rate monitor sometimes works, and is not dynamic. The only thing it is useful for is telling the time, and counting the number of steps which a pedometer for £5 would do the same.

Am I missing something here? There seems to be a lot of demand for these, but for what purpose?

Nationwide offer or store specific?

Clearance of old stock?

Feeling good about yourself

My wife does weekly challenges wit her friends. Acts as motivation. Same as fat clubs. You could just weigh yourself at home, but it's not really the same thing.

Thanks for the app tip.
Downloaded and applying customisation that I always thought should be possible but didn't realise it was.

Not convinced I've got continuous heart rate monitoring set up though. Id have assumed the green lights should be continually flashing, but they aren't.

If i can get that working, coupled with the new customisation it will blow my Charge HR out of the water.

I thought the Mi Band 2 was great, but now after a couple of months it doesn't detect heartbeat anymore (and I'm definitely still alive!)

I use mine for running. Selecting the 'Running' setting in the Mi Band app measures not only your distance, it keeps track of the route and graphs your continuous heart rate so you can see how your stamina and cardio is improving over time. I think it's useful. The sleep monitor works well for me too, I can't tell how accurate it is, but seems sensible in the data it records.

You can also set up notifications for WhatsApp, messaging, FB, etc. etc. which is handy. And it has an alarm that vibrates to wake you up - good for not disturbing others. Worth the £20 price tag I would say, but obviously each to their own.

How did you find the sleep tracking? I've just returned a jawbone2 because it was so inaccurate, I don't expect 100% but roughly in line with what I'm doing I did have a mi band 1 but it stopped tracking properly after the software updated so I was hesitant to bother buying this new one.

EDIT - As you have literally just answered my question above doh!

How did people use to manage before they had the ability to constantly monitor their heartrates? It's a world we can't even imagine...

Nearly 600 heat with one other person claiming they've seen them. oO

My wife and son have two different FitBits, the Flex and Charge HR. Look good and work well but the durability is abysmal. A year on one has fallen to pieces and the other's about to.

I'm a cheapskate so got myself a Mi Band 1 at the same time as theirs. It's still going strong.

Conclusion: get a Mi Band 2.

Sh*tbits. Just a mental placebo for the weak willed.

I have the original miband and have had it for a couple of years. I love it, and the app is fantastic, much better than some fitness band apps! Mine isn't digital, but then it only cost £12.... The miband 2 is digital though - a friend has ordered one of these at £20 with free P&P.

You've got to bear in mind these are Chinese products, not chinese crap

Totally agree. Excellent bit of kit.

Now maybe this is not 'playing by the rules' but... Fitbit are a fantastic company and I can't fault their customer support. If your device were to develop a fault they will replace it free of charge if it is within the warranty period - and if your purchased model no longer exists they will send you the latest version... if you catch my drift... In all seriousness though, my wife wears hers all the time and they are fantastic!

This app is fantastic, I've had no problems with setting up mine to measure continuously heart rate and display all the notifications I want to show up on the screen. I've tested mine against a proper heart rate sensor and the results were almost the same. I've tested it while cycling, running and walking. Read the help and faq section within the app if you have any problems.

The Mi Band 2 is durable but the heart rate monitor is either erratic or doesn't work, especially if your skin is dark. There are a few forums that discuss the issue: http://en.miui.com/thread-486235-1-1.html

Someone here was saying that dynamic heart rate doesn't work on Mi Band 2...please see the picture https://flic.kr/p/SmfNPQ

So has anybody found one anywhere aside from OP's store?

warning - check fit bit is compatible with your phone before buying.
Had to return fitbit charge 2 as not compatible with huwaei P9 lite
Very disappointed
