£20 off with voucher code POPULAR20 until 17/10/19
** Basic laptop sold out; now only available with Bullguard Anti-Virus and/or mouse **

This model takes a BOOTABLE m.2 SSD via service hatch on the bottom of the laptop (spec in link below) and so a 128GB SSD for about £20 makes this a great little Windows laptop.

Manufacturer refurbished Grade A with 1 year warranty.

The N4200 is a Pentium not a Celeron. Ok, its not a rocket ship but its £80 with voucher.

Voted hot before others will make comments about i8, min 8GB RAM and SSD on an under £100 product.
Does it have touch screen?
Super price, no brainer for day to day use. Great to have full HD IPS at this price. Screen colours are s but cold, nothing a custom profile can't resolve though.

No. Specs here. geo-computers.com/geo…um/
The only difference is that I believe Laptop Outlet have put Windows10 NON-S on it rather than "S" as in this link.

An N5000 processor would be better but don't think there are many around at Grade A.

Would you be able to give any further details on how to do that? Friend’s netbook has recently stopped working as there is no more space for Windows 10 updates. Hoping I can fix it, but I’d certainly never buy one of these 32 GB machines

With 32GB, best to copy off docs and pics, save any program keys, and clean install windows10;
1. you need an 8GB usb stick... then go to microsoft.com/en-…s10
read from Using the tool to create installation media...
2. does friend have sd card for extra space? If so, after windows10 has been clean installed it should ask if it can use the sd card to help with future upgrades (this is a new feature of windows10)
3. Can also tell windows10 to use sd card for pics docs etc...

NB. this deal laptop allows you to add an extra disk AND put windows10 on it.

Most of the time it's only 10% discount and eBay charge sellers 10% fee for selling so in them instantes they don't lose anything I would imagine in 20% off offers the sellers probably take the 10% loss and 10% eBay takes (just doesn't make money)

But only the companies know the real deal

First, don't do anything until you get the laptop. Make sure it works. It should be ok, but check wifi works reliably and also that usb works reliably (there have been issues with both.)
When happy...1. look underneath and you'll see the m.2 hatch; have a look inside.
2. buy a m.2 2280 SSD**; 120GB about £20; 240GB about £30 (unfortunately Amazon sells 120GB for £20 but have to buy 2 :-(
3. switch off laptop and install SSD. ** goes in upside down ** you'll know what i mean when you try this. **
4. image 32gb drive to 120gb drive; this is the easiest way to use the ssd; some people may prefer to clean install windows10 to the ssd
5. reboot laptop and go into BIOS; tell BIOS to boot from the SSD; this is slightly tricky but don't panic.

** SATA variant NOT PCIe/NVMe, although the BIOS does references NVMe we don't think NVMe works.

How easy would it be to get Chrome working on this and could it also support Android Apps?

The spec looks better than most £130+ Chromebooks so not sure if this is worth trying for £80.

Check your card, I do not think you've been charged £99. I used a code too for my TV from Currys eBay, the invoice showed the full price, but my card was charged 20% less. I've returned it, as it was rubbish and they refunded the price on invoice minus 20%.

So I can add another m.2 2280 ssd, alongside the existing 32gb drive?

Hi, thanks for the info @Musicrab . Yes brought 2 for some college students, plan to increase the ssd though as 32GB surely not enough for the updates, as various folks have suggested. I've never installed one of these m.2 ssd's before, installed quite a few 2.5" ssd's. These m.2 ssd's look like DDR memory sticks, so got a bit confused. Gonna leave OS as windows, never tried the Chrome OS, so don't want to spend too much time faffing around with OS.

Few 120GB m.2 ssd I've seen so far as follows (I know I could probably get 240GB for a bit extra, but on a tight budget)

Kingston SSD A400 M.2 Solid State Drive, 120 GB - Black

YUCUN NGFF M.2 2280 120GB SSD

[geek mode on] If Windows10 1903 is clean installed it will create something called reserved storage which will allow for future updates to 1903.
eg. see here docs.microsoft.com/en-…903
I haven't tried it myself but in theory it can also use any added sd card for help when doing updates. You will know this is happenning when Windows gives this prompt "Windows would like to use additional storage to install future upgrades; please select additional storage." I have seen this but didn't understand the significance. Again, this functionality is only activated on a clean install. [geek mode off. sorry.]

Anyway, this is irrelevant if you are adding an m.2 ssd to put windows 10 on. As I said before, the easiest way to do this is image existing laptop 32GB disk to your new ssd then tell the BIOS the changed boot device. Some people will prefer to clean install to ssd. My laptop is arriving this afternoon. Fingers-crossed there's no faults which is always the risk with refurbs...

PS. if this works well I may get another, Grade B, only 6 months warranty, for £76 from the same place. At least 10 left...

Well, they were described as pristine condition on the listing, so these should be as new hopefully. Not bad price for grade B as well.
On the lookout for a couple of bargain m.2 ssd's now. £20 for 120GB look to be the best bet, obviously cheaper on Ebay.
if you have the 32gb version , set your wifi connection to metered, to stop auto updates.
if you need to update do via a media creation tool usb stick.
check the folder
C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download

to see if unwanted updates have been downloaded and delete to free space.

not sure why microsoft download auto updates on a 32gb machjne since there will never be enough space for windows and the windows update files

2 for £40 on Amazon (miniumum 2 for the Western Digitial drives); and they work.

Just received laptop (very quick delivery since only ordered yesterday); condition is pristine. Very odd that latest Windows10 has already been installed with a user "User" - thought it would have been a factory image.

Bullguard trial removed and there's 8.65GB space. Also interested to see that 7GB of storage has been reserved for future updates; I'm guessing that if I put an sd card in that it would use that. Its trying to do a windows update; already failed once so don't hold out much hope...until I get the 32GB disk imaged to m.2 ssd... which won't be for a couple of days.
Bascially a bargain for £80.

EDIT: all updated 5.66GB remaining.
