Obviously, you're not going to be playing 3D games with a laptop with this spec, but its fine for every day tasks, students, casual users etc, and is an amazing price considering that Currys / PC World sell it for £279!!

Refurbished item, but Grade A condition and 12 months warranty.

Curry's version at £279.....

An alternative to the 64GB eMMC ones is the 32GB eMMC ones. They all have m.2 SSD slots and so add a 120GB SSD and make it bootable for an extra £20.

Not bad for the money that, but not a 13.3" for around £120, so not really comparable. Maybe post that Lenovo as a deal!

But that's because of the way windows works, it's not because it needs it.

Better value but totally different type of machine and basically double the cost. If was 20 quid v 40 could argue negligible difference but best part of 100 quid is a material diff

How's is that for this price? For basic school work, and excel work?

However the OP is basically a internet book with soldered on items and is refurbished. The Ebuyer one is new and upgradable in ram and HDD

I got this for sister in laws daughter for collage. She wanted similar to spec you posted but a pink thing for £179 from car phone warehouse. She picked a 32gb MCC HDD which isn’t upgradable as they are soldered to the board and so is the ram. When you think windows takes around 30gb’s up your not left with enough to do really much other than surf the net.

Well worth the extra 20 quid in my opinion for the 64 gig storage, you can add a memory card for expansion but when upgrading windows etc, the 64 gig inbuilt storage will be less problematic

It's good, ignore the comments. Everybody want high specs but most just surf the internet, watch YouTube or write in word. This is more than you need for school work.
Don't even know why these with high specs needs are even opening these £100-200 deals. If you want something with high specs, check other deals. Your comments are putting people off, this is more than reasonable for internet browsing or school work. My Acer, 5 years old, I3 and 4GB RAM runs great with Win10.
These look like the same Model as the geobook 3 which can be bought at Curry's PC World.

I recommended my friend to buy one, it's very nice. Look for new versions with the n5000 processors and 128GB emmc stacks.

They are heavier than you would expect, but look really nice, have a great metal feel.

My only complaint is the screen doesn't get super bright, so can't be used outside.

I think we all know this is a lie. Windows will work around the hardware it has. If you can't deal with anything less than 8GB RAM, don't look at a laptop with 4GB then complain... Windows 10 will actually run with 2GB RAM as the older netbook type things had.

Yes, these were under £100 with the last code and fortunately went out of stock so I didn't buy something I don't need! I would avoid the 32GB one though for Windows Update reasons.

Yes, 'my PC uses more than 4GB idle' implying that you can't do anything if you have 4GB. I think you're the one who has embarassed yourself: you've told everyone no less than 4 times useless this laptop is and then compared it to your phone as if that's of any use to anyone . Maybe you could tell us all again?
4GB RAM is fine. I have the n5000 version in front of me and it’s very snappy.
My issue with these geo flex or 5 tech is how many are refurbished on eBay makes you think they don’t last are need repairing regularly or people buy them and return them quickly.

To be fair for £120 you can get a decent ex-lease ultrabook with SSD these days but it’s all about needs and wants. This machine has a nice metal case, runs cool, lasts a while on battery and offers good value - 4GB RAM is a reasonable amount and 64GB storage gives you space to do updates, which the 32GB ones can’t effectively in 2019 unless you add a disk - but not everyone wants to do that.
I set up one of the n4000 32gb ones for a friend this week, banged in a 240gb m.2 for £30 and for the use it's intended, it's spot on.

Their ebay store regularly gets included in the 10 and more recently, 20% off ebay codes so with the drive it came in under £100, all in. They reduced the listing price a couple of days ago to £75 but that listing ended yesterday.

If you're not in a rush, keep an eye on their eBay store.

Can I get link to it pls
i got the 32gb n42000 fivetech, its a geobook but with stickers over the geo logo, the stickers come off no problem

If you get the 32gb version, To update winodws you will need to use the windows media creation tool from the microsoft web site, and create a windows install usb boot thumb drive (dont use a usb 3 thumb drive since it will not be bootable). This should allow you to update windows using the usb thumb drive. Also when you create a wifi connection set the properties as "Metered" if you want to stop the automatic updates. I have about 10GB free on my 32gb drive (i think i deleted the hibernation file which is well over 1gb in size)
i cant fault this laptop, sure n4200 is not the fastest, but web browsing etc works fine. i.e. netflix and youtube work fine, since the N4200 has hardware decoding for most media video files

We all have our opinions, we will have to agree o disagree, But one final thing, if you are so right, how come there are potentially millions of people running windows 10 using only 4 gig of memory?. If you are so correct, how can that be?
