Really good reviews on these riding shoes and seem to be really solid especially on the sole (Where you'd obviously want them to be) Not for everyone, but a decent price for these if you're looking to gear up for some summer riding.

HexMC carbon fibre loading lever
Sail cloth closure straps

Why Kangaroo leather? Are you really going to feel the difference?

I think it's generally a lighter leather, although yeah... sounds odd

I have some R3's. Worth being wary of the high arches on Fiziks if, like me, you have fairly flat feet.

Fair enough What are the R3s like other than that? Was looking at those previously.

Gives you a bit more bounce on the pedals.

Cheers for the CRC tipoff. They have a few decent shoe deals on right now e.g Northwave Sonic 3S for £35 (was £90) and Mavic Kyserium Elites for £45 (£100).

I've not had them long, but the soles feel incredibly stiff compared to my previous northwave carbons. It really feels like you're getting full power transfer. Another thing to note is I had to size down half a size from my regular shoe size, which is uncommon for cycling shoes.
I bought a pair of these shoes in red a couple of years ago when they were on offer for £50. I have found them very light, extremely comfortable and no flex noticeable from the sole. I only wear them in dry conditions (I wouldn't know how they perform in the wet). Don't expect the durability of man made materials on usual shoes. The box they come in looks the business on its own, but this deal is quite a lot more than I paid.
I also got a similar pair in red for around £50/£60 from Planet X a couple of years back. Great shoe, they look great, lasted well too, apart from middle strap breaking off whilst doing them up before Ride London last year. I still use them, but have some new northwave's to replace them. Recommended. Agree with coleaj, the box they come in is well fancy.
