This seems like a bargain to me!
I have ordered 2 for my kids to just do general surfing, etc.
Comes with Windows 7 but of course also gets a free upgrade to Windows 10.
Only 1GB or RAM but you can buy another 1GB for around £4-5 from Ebay and it has 2 easy to access slots to upgrade. (Max Memory = 4GB).
Has 160GB of storage but from reading around it sounds as though this is actually an SSD so that is worth about £30 on its own.
Also it is an Intel Atom N450 1.66GHz processor which isn't going to be up to running modern games but will be just fine for normal Web use and/or homework I hope.
They claim to be in A1 condition but may be missing the stylus for the touchscreen. I want them as Netbooks rather than a fat tablet anyway so I am not botthered.
By-the-way, there are codes around for IJT but they do not work with this deal.
Also they did have these for this price 8 months ago but that expired a long time back.
Delivery is £6.99

It would be fair if you added "Condition: Refurbished / Grade A1 | Warranty: 3 Months warranty" to the title. Or something to similar effect. Also it states the stylus is missing/not included.

Done.
As I said above, this is not a fabulous machine but for £45 I do not believe you will find better !

Plus £7 delivery?
Whilst this is cheap the n450 makes it virtually useless. Basically same as a n270 meaning more than 1 youtube video playing will bring it to its knees. Look for a ex corporate core 2 deal, much better machines

Agreed, that processor has 1 core and only 1 thread it was released in the first quarter of 2010 (do the math!).

Yeah - But those are at least double the price of this

These would only have had a 32gb SSD from reading the technical information about this model. The only 160gb SSD drives that I'm aware existed were made by intel and certainly never made it from the factory into these machines. This is pretty certainly going to be a traditional mechanical hard disk.

You mean they will be missing.

PLEASE NOTE THESE ARE MISSING THE STANDARD Stylus

I will let you know what they are like when they arrive on Tuesday.
I fully expected negative and trolling comments - Just show me a similar or better product for a better price please

Which comment/s do you feel were trolling? Can't see any myself.

Plus, just because something is of low cost, doesn't necesserily make it good value for money.
IJT and Morgan computers are the same company. Also the P+P should be added to the headline price.

Lets call is a difference of opinion then - Just trying to help people with a bargain.
That is what we are meant to be here for after all.
Your opinion is this is not good value for money - I disagree with you.

With 2 seconds of google searching - yes a tiny bit more but light years difference in terms of usability and quality as stated above, cheap does not mean good value.
As for trolling etc, not sure how you have come to that conclusion
oh and if cost is your main criteria then i would go for this:

it also has a touch screen, slightly smaller admittedly but a much better windows machine

While I fully agree this is a slow machine - I find that such a bizarre comment
- just why would you want to run more than one youtube videos at once ?!

I only watch them one at at time on my i7

I typically watch 2 side by side, one with each eye.
I don't get the 'this is a much better machine for twice the price' posts.

you're right you don't get because there are none in this thread
Sorry but agree with all the above op. These are not worth the price at all. That cpu was terrible when it came out 6 years ago, it's even worse now. Afraid your kids are going to use these one and not want to use them again.

A similar Android tablet would be a much better experience. And if you need a keyboard and Windows, spend a little more
As an experienced IT technician I wouldn't recommend anything less than a dual core 2ghz. And that was my opinion several years ago.

Hopefully the batteries are in good condition (which I doubt) as they will bump the price considerably.

I have a 2ghz dual core atom box I use as a media center in my bedroom. It has 4gb of ram and still ran windows 7 very poorly. I used to use windows media center on it and the performance was horrendous even with its dedicated Nvidia gfx.

I have since installed OpenElec on it and it performs much better.

I would expect these have a resistive touch screen by the looks of them. So don't expect any multi touch or gesture capabilities of the newer windows to work.
Could probably get something better from gum tree or freecycle.
As others have said, cheap does not always mean good value. In this case i believe it's not good value, just cheap junk. Sorry! Just trying to stop others spending money on something that isn't worth it.
These old atom based netbooks are still reasonably usable if you don't have bloatware, use a lite cloud based anti virus, run ccleaner often. Especially if you do the ram upgrade, but if your not prepared to put the effort in to maintain a low powered machine like this then you will be dissapointed and end up not using it.

That is what people said 10 years ago. They will not cope with even a reasonably demanding webpage now.

That is a nasty Chinese tablet.
It has no keyboard, is 1.5x the price and likely you would get nailed by customs too

OP ignore all these so called experts and hear sayers. To many techo-snobs these days.

I have in front of me an Acer Aspire One netbook, with a single core, single thread 1.7ghz CPU manufacture date 2010\05\22. I upgraded the ram to 4gb for £5 and a cheapo SSD installed another £15, both sourced from fleabay. Now upgraded to Windows 10.

It boots to Windows 10 in under 12 seconds (from cold, not sleep), and runs all the simple apps, browsing, media, emails fine. It struggles with more than a few multiple tasks, but with the SSD, just close them and re-open them, its nearly instant. It will never set the world on fire, but it is a perfectly usable machine.

Regards
Flea
They arrived today.
I am VERY happy with them and my kids will love them.
They have a 250GB hard drive and one had a stylus so better then advertised as well.
For under £50 (if you order two) - they are a steal
