All I know is my bait (maggot) is bigger than the rod I am using now like.

any chance keeping on topic? people moan about duplicate posts which to me isnt an issue but loads of daft comments seem fine?

fishing is boring

Stopped fishing with my Dad and Grandad a while back, how much is the license these days? I bet it's close to the £100 a year now... :sad face:

I've had some nice fish from canals, depends where you live really.

tbh if your targeting big carp (double figures) you'll want from something with a little more grunt.
For the odd single figure carp you should be fine as long as you set the drag and take your time.

£27 a year, £3.75 a day or £10 for 8 days and has been for as long as I've been fishing.
Remember you don't need a license if your sea fishing which includes tidal rivers which this should cope with.

Anyone buying this kit will also need to pick up a few essentials like degorger and/or forceps, spare hooks, a few wagglers (floats), shot and no-barbed hooks as well as fishing license and passes (not many free fishing areas outside of the broads)

I have recently got back into fishing via this offer and managed to get my little brother into it on his very first ever cast with his own aldi offer rod the little so and so went and landed a lovely 3lb pike from Manchester canal
