Popped into asda to get some porridge oats today. They do 1kg of smart price porridge oats for about 60p.

However I spotted these ones and thought they might be worth a little extra. Reduced from £1.56 I think.

Flahavan's Progress Oatlets

Flahavan's Progress Oatlets is Ireland's favourite porridge oats brand. Flahavan's select only the finest Irish oats. These oats are then carefully dried and cleaned in preparation for milling.

I bought 3kg earlier :-). Porridge is great, it last ages, only takes a few minutes to cook if you pour boiling water in the pan.

I reckon it probably costs about 5p for a big bowl.

Thanks will look out for this, but Lidl oats make nice porridge at about 35p for 500 gms. Paying £2 for a kilo of Scots porridge oats seems a bit over the top, no better than Lidl.

But the Lidl oats work out more expensive than these and they're lower quality.
