Beats my recent deal by over a fiver.

HEAT ADDED. A heck of a lot of phone for the money! Band 20 as well.

Don't forget Quidco (4%-6%)

Thanks for the heat, I'd added some heat to your post when it went up. Was a great deal at a fiver more too. Just received notice that my ZTE Axon 7 has been shipped (bagged that at the £168 deal) and I've been swithering on getting this for my son. Think I'll just go ahead and order it up now.

"Gravity Sensor"
???
What like ' yes there is some ' ?

Does anyone who already have this phone able to answer a question for me. Does this phone have the call forwarding option. I have a chines version of this one that is 3 yrs old and it does not have the call forwarding option. i am after a new one anyway and if this does have that option, then PERFECT!!!!!!! great deal.

If you drop it...it falls to the ground!

I really wanted this last month when it was about £105 but the battery was the only thing that put me off.

Unfortunately, that nagging doubt is still there but HEAT from me!

Thanks, I have never ordered from Gearbest before but this is a top spec phone so I decided to give it a go. Opted for the 'Belgium Registered' free delivery but paid the £4-odd insurance, as the T&Cs says that without this the buyer takes responsibility if it gets lost in the post. It would not be fun to lose £100 without even getting the phone! I presume customs will be charged on delivery.

Went through Quidco for 6% cash back, and also opted for their £2.50 offer so that is a bonus.

Cheapest UK-sourced price is 194 quid delivered from Appliances Direct. So 92 quid more. You can see why more and more of us take the risk and order our tech direct from China!

You'll be unlucky to get stung TBH. No guarantees, though. The first order is the giant leap of faith! Get over this and you may just become hooked on buying direct from China like myself and lots of others on here! Just try and be patient, it's not like making an order from Amazon prime!

This looks like a cracking deal for the money.

Perfect if the battery life wasn't awful.

Differences between the Axon 7 and Axon 7 Mini:

TL;DR (or "didn't watch" ) Both have dual-speakers, front 8MP cameras, USB-C, same aluminium chassis, rear 16MP camera/full HD video on the Mini, 20MP camera/4K video on the bigger brother.

5.2" FHD screen vs 5.5" QHD on the Axon 7 (AMOLED for both). Both have dual LED flash and fingerprint readers. Snapdragon 617 Octa-Core RAM/3GB RAM/32GB internal memory on the Mini, Snapdragon 820 Quad-Core CPU/4GB RAM/64GB internal memory on the Axon 7.

The Mini has a 2705mAh battery, QC 2.0, the Axon 7 3250mAh, QC 3.0. Both have Dolby enhanced audio via headphones.

Weak points for the Mini are the processor and the battery, so bear that in mind. Camera isn't spectacular either.

Looks from the video that the Axon Mini actually has the software (on-screen) Recent Tasks/Home/Back buttons - whereas the Axon 7 has capacitive buttons but they don't light up - which many people hate.

Just a heads up for people not up to speed on the cpu/soc side of things. This has a sd 617 which is pretty slow by todays standards..@45000 antutu.

From the Axon 7 thread (kudos to shedloads) hotukdeals.com/com…700 more coupons for both this and the Mini, takes this phone under £100. Be aware Gearbest sometimes enable and disable codes at random, so keep trying if it doesn't work!

As ever, you have to sign in before you can add the coupon code.

I can see a few US reviewers saying the Mini has a Nougat update, and UK users can update too. forum.xda-developers.com/axo…620

One for the big spenders amongst us - Axon 7 Mini tempered glass screen protector for a princely 25p (with 20% deducted at Checkout)! amazon.co.uk/gp/…TF8

Warehouse is notoriously flakey but worth a punt - I've bought a few protectors from there recently.
