These were £199 a couple of months ago!
They were £200 a month or so ago. But these are still a crazy good price. I have one and it prints fairly well with no upgrades. Chuck an extra £30-£50 worth of upgrades and you have a very solid 3D printer with fairly minimal maintenance and a high ratio of successful prints.

Got one as a return for just over £100. Definetly not worth £279. Normal price should be more like £200 in the scheme of 3d printers.

What upgrades have you done as I thought they were pretty much proprietary build.

I’d say compared to other printers around the price it’s extremely fair and good but still each to their own.

As for upgrades The new type nozzle is a must as the stock one is absolutely shocking. Replace the feeder gear as the stock one is weak and skips a lot. Printing a dual fan duct in abs also really helps with successful prints. Adding a glass bed to your rotation is always a good idea. Then finally print a new spool holder, whichever takes your fancy really as the stock printer only hold 0.5kg filament.

Add those upgrades and I’m telling you this printer is a little beast.
Last time I looked you couldnt even get hold of a nozzle but looking at their site it shows the new and improved version and half the price of the old one from what I remember. Must have happened over the last 2 weeks. Thanks for the tips.
20$ item + 20$ shipping from flashforge site....I'll wait.
Spose box has the old style for £25 if needed.

Finally the spool holder there’s a bunch of. Check any of the free 3D object resources, people report differently on which works best for them. So I don’t want to advise. And the glass bed I sourced for myself I am afraid, but there may be purchase-able options out there but I don’t know.
