Nice one
How much does it cost to stay there?

No matter how cheaply you can get there, you need to budget a small fortune to eat and stay there once you arrive. Their average salary is approx twice ours, and costs reflect that.
Beautiful place though, and very interesting, but don't be lulled into an expensive trip just because the flights are cheap. At least check out prices etc. You can bank on a min of £10 or so a pint in the pubs.

Can be expensive, car hire may break your heart, some cheaper hostels/hotels and very good fish an chips/pizza type meals to be had at reasonable price. Great place, good people, different.
Travelled here a few years ago. Amazing place so well worth going for flights at that price. Worth going there just for the Blue Lagoon actually. One of the best places I've ever been (about 43 quid entry). Recommend booking a studio apartment (there are quite a few in central Rekyavik) as if you're on a budget you can get stuff from the local supermarket. IF you're staying central Rekyavik it's a short walk to the bus station, tourist information centre where you can book excursions (Northern Lights, Golden Circle) which are reasonably priced IMO. Actually seeing the Northern Lights is hit and miss. Perfect for a short 3-4 night break. Take thermals.
luton stinks, wizz air sucks...life s a bitch
EasyJet prices about the same
