Stunning price! Probably be a naff flight experience but you can't grumble for that money at this time of year. What a strange route... east midlands to New York, looking at the seat map there are no seats together so anyone booking should be aware you'll be split up.

Cracking flight price. I think hotels might be expensive.

Add at least another $50 onto that if you get a cab and are intent on getting to Manhattan. The train is a lot cheaper but its a connecting train and you might not want to do that with luggage.

I stayed at one called Hotel 31 last week. Mid town, dirt cheap, just a bed at the end of the day (and in fact, thanks to jetlag, I slept for approx 2 hours a night!) but it had a TV and WiFi and it absolutely did the trick.

I did the train/subway last week (with a big suitcase) and it actually enhanced the experience! $8 each way

yup - go for it - it does enhance the experience. Did the same in summer - dragged the whole family so they could experience NYC instead of a cab - saved money and probably got to Manhatten faster - my hotel was near the train line, so check that out.

When i went i stayed in an airbnb just over the bridge in New Jersey so i got to see the manhattan skyline every morning and night.

Just dont ever think of getting an airbnb in manhattan unless you are very lucky

when I go to NYC. I know stay in Jersey City nice area and you can get to the world trade in 9mins. it's a nice alternative to staying in NY.

We went a few years back and got one no problem. stayed on W51st

Fantastic price. Jet2 do this every year from East Midlands. Must make sure I buy tickets for next year as its my local airport and Jet2 are one of the better budget airlines. Plus you get 22kg baggage allowance included. Great find op.

Great until there are no trains between newark and manhattan and you are saddled with a $100 cab journey.... also dont bother with the lounge at newark even if you have free passes, its so grim.

It's not this price you need to change the title very misleading this site is getting worse with these misleading deals to get heat.

My mistake I thought it was included as last time I used them all luggage was included. Obviously things have changed.

Personally for a 4 day trip I would only use my 10kg carry on allowance.
As for meals unless they are included I generally don't bother as they are rubbish. So I generally take my own food. If I'm in a rush I'll buy a meal deal (at East Midlands Superdrug is best).

When the OP posted a 4 day deal at £244 it was a good deal ,especially for me as EMA is my local airport (used it today) rather than having to use Birmingham, Manchester or London. Sadly the days of me getting £179 flights seems a thing of the past.

Wouldn't want to fly across the atlantic with Jet2, their fleet is ancient.

Stayed here around 10 years ago. Does what it says on the tin. We had a corking view of the empire state from our room too.

$62.71 park av to newark terminal C

Great prices. Unfortunately, what they don't tell you is that the place is full of Americans.
