The flight normally stops off in London then straight to Vegas

Can you get on at London, or do you actually need to start from Dublin (in which case it will still need a flight to Dublin first only to come back) ?

Not 100% sure on what way it works, ring them on 028 90 996795 and they'll be able to tell you

You'll have to get on at Dublin. Stupid rule but airlines don't allow boarding on a stopover as you have to check in at the starting leg.

don't you pre-clear U.S. customs in Dublin? So getting on in London would be a no.

Flights are with Delta, so you would need to get to Dublin first and yes at Dublin you pre-clear.

As an aside, if Las Vegas is like Atlanta, the process is automated. Pop in passport, look at a screen, answer simple questions and you are done!

Unless it has changed in the last few months the answer is no. Queue at the immigration. Get there at the wrong time when multiple international flights are landing and it can take a long while to get out of the airport.

Only probably!

Unfortunately McCarran airport doesn't have that, you've to queue at immigration which can take a long time, first time I was there it was only maybe 10-15 minutes, 2 time was almost an hour, it was a joke!
