once you clink on the link, change the domain name from skyscanner.net to skyscanner.com.br, you will see price dropping to about £420..

Its the premium we pay for being from UK.

Thanks for clarifying, yeah you need to be on the Brazilian skyscanner for it to work it's good to see what dates are available cheap as expedia doesn't seem to offer that option.

Anyone succesfully booked one yet ?

Melbourne and Sydney also available. Auckland available for a little more!

Just booked Melbourne for September! THANK YOU OP!

I can't say you saved me money but more cost me, but happy where the money is being spent!

Type your comment here...

Apparently the reason is that the Brazilian government does not allow airlines to charge for the fuel surcharge....hence the low price.

Read on another forum that this has been used for a long time by some folk...in secret of course, needless to say they're not too impressed with it being out in the open! Chances are the loophole will soon be closed.....

Why is they're a premium for booking from a UK site? Any reason this wouldn't work or be accepted? Can't believe how cheap it is just going through Brazilian skyscanner.

Looks a bit like the deal that many of us got a few years ago by going to expedia.au - they were all honoured so can't see why this wouldn't be. Mind you, I sweated until I was through check inn, lol.

we got flights to san diego for £150 ish in 2009 and it took a few emails to expedia Australia to get a firm confirmation that prices would be honoured

Original Poster

Gardner I was also on that deal with flights to BOS for £150. Was a great win

can anyone let me know, if you miss the connecting flight due to a delay (since its down as separate flights) does that mean you're not covered in some way to get the next one without paying?

What dates did you find the Auckland flights? I can't find any cheap flights.

Is anyone else concerned by the fact it says Perth, Washington, Australia? Im pretty sure it should be Western Australia and I dont recall there being a Washington suburb when I lived there

i remember a few years back people getting mega deals going thru expedia.au

Just been playing around with this - is it just me, or is a British passport not selectable in the drop down list when you actually want to start booking on expedia.com.br? Loop hole already closed?

Scratch that. A quick google translate tells me that Reino Unido is the answer...

Tried it from Manchester just to see the prices and was interested to see that Manchester is listed as:
Manchester (MAN) próximo a The Gay Village, Manchester, Inglaterra, Reino Unido

Booked DUB-PER for a month JUN-JUL £319, confirmation from expedia and emirates

Ppolo, you would not be protected by either airline should you miss the connecting flight. Airlines will only protect you if all sectors are on the same ticket and you miss the flight because of them.

Class Hope flights are this cheap for next year would making going to New Zealand very doable!

Dublin is cheaper because of no airport taxes. A couple of years ago I flew Dublin to LAX via London (where I changed planes) for £350 which was £150 cheaper than same flight from London. Crazy I know, HOT from me.

Also no APD from DUB about £84 to OZ from UK.

Edited by: "beon" 16th Mar 2014

Wow, what a deal. Has anyone found any other destinations bar Australia with a similar discount? I've searched a few countries without joy

As the connecting flights I am looking at connect through London and use different airlines, Aer Lingus and Virgin, would I have to use the Dublin flight or could I just get off in London on the return ?

I understand that on the outward leg I may have to begin my journey from Dublin as it is only a one and a half hour turnaround in London but was wondering if this was not the case on return.

Apologies in advance for stupid question.
Are these return prices?

I only ask as conflicting prices are given upon checkout. AUD and BR$.
