I think you mean September and February 2014 unless you are time travelling...

11 to 21 hour stopovers is are 'short' stopovers?

wow, why not just walk there, would be cheaper and you;d shed a few pounds!

Great price, despite the time travel and long stopover, so here's some heat!

I dunno, I played this Spec Ops travel simulator and Dubai seemed like a weird place where everyone hates you.

Maybe you should take a look again. The whole travel duration is 11hours....

Brilliant price - please find a deal to Bali for september

The stopovers aren't 11 & 21 hrs just 2 & 3 in most cases. On an 11hr total journey time NOT stopover time. great price!

Istanbul has a great airport and the normal flight time to dubai approx. 7 hours. So stopover should be around 4 hours not too taxing.

Your saving around 50% on the typical cost, however worth checking BA and or Emirates as prices for a flight that far in the future might not be that much more. That said its loooong way to go on a budget airline that may charge for extras like hand luggage and drinks etc. I would take a direct flight from BA at Terminal 5, but that personal choice and circumstances.

Great price for a great country, there is no problem with holding hands, it's just public affection such as kissing. You can't show a lot of skin whilst in the malls but if you want to sunbathe just go the beach or most hotels have a rooftop pool. My advice is to buy the book called the entertainer, it costs around £65 but is full of Bogof vouchers for absolutely everything and I sold mine on eBay when I returned for more than I paid.

Go to the paid beach (jumeirah), it's about 5 dirhams and it is very well looked after, there are showers and loads of other facilities. If you've got a phone with google maps, get a uae SIM card with data and all public transport is linked up its great.

I wanted to go for years - now might be the time. Cheers

Cheap/decent priced hotel....anyone know of any?

so if I went with my boyfriend, I'd be ok to hold his hand on the beach?

lol...of course

Great deal but I'm struggling to find availability

I've been to Dubai a few times. You can go to a private beach if you want to feel free in a bikini.

Now that arguments have stopped.....

Being a travel novice, once you buy these flights all that is required is transfers, hotel and spending money?!

Are transfers simple enough? I imagine decent hotels would be expensive?

There's an easyHotel in Jebel Ali ...that's quite a way from downtown Dubai, probably about 30 or 40 mins on the Metro, Price is about 150Dhs/night (=£30). I've never stayed in an easyHotel but I assume they're on a par with Travelodge.

Although this is quite far from central Dubai, it would be handy for Dubai Marina (maybe 15 mins on metro), or going to Abu Dhabi, which would be about an hour away on the bus (and is definitely worth a visit).

If you wanted to be more central, search for hotels in "Bur Dubai" ...this area has a lot of lower price hotels although some might be of poor quality so check Trip Advisor

once again, nothing from Manchester.

I've had a look and it looks a little cheaper on CarltonLeisure.com
Got mine for £225 each

Relationships outside marriage

Sex outside marriage is illegal and if any offenders are brought to the attention of the UAE authorities they run the risk of prosecution, imprisonment and/or a fine and deportation. Same sex marriages are not recognised.

It is against the law to live together or to share the same hotel room with someone of the opposite sex to whom you are not married or closely related.
Homosexual relationships are illegal.

FCO ADVISORY

I'm not saying those laws are always enforced, though there are certainlt incidences when those laws are used to put pressure on people in certain circumstances.

The laws that ARE enforced are the drug laws, relentlessly with increasingly high tech equipment being used at airports. Don't take drugs? Well bear in mind that prohibited drugs in UAE include many over the counter remedies like Actifed or any tablets with codeine, and they DO enforce it. And if you fond of a puff at home don't even consider going there without freshly laundered clothes and hoovered out bags. Any prescription drugs, carry the prescription.
List here.

Have fun

Awful place built on slave labour. A glorified airport hub with appauling womens rights.

But this site is all about what deal is the cheapest, so technically this deal is hot as its the cheapest price to get to such a country.

A further 10 reasons why Dubai is naff without a single mention of whats been said above.

I would urge anyone to read this list before you go. Also be careful about going there with certain visa stamps in your passport, they seemed to get very excited about having Russian and Chinese visas in your passport.

Booked for Half Term in Feb 2014 @£230 .... kids have gone on and on about Dubai.... however used my Visa DEBIT card to avoid the fees and now thinking that's a mistake should have paid the extra £6 - what would happen if Opedo or Pegasus go bust in the next 11 months ?? !

Just returned in feb from dubai with pegasus.its not too bad changing at Istanbul just a long wait to transfer to the next flight but for the price you can't go wrong.theres loads of cheap hotel options in dubai.you can get to most hotels on the metro for less than £2

Great deal. Very good price. Thanks to the poster. Heat added.
I went to Dubai 2 years ago. I found it boring, pretentious and sterile. Most other people agreed. It was like Turkey without the culture and Las Vegas without the star quality.
I remember meeting a couple who were only there en route from a REAL holiday in Asia, They laughed at me and said they can't understand why anyone would go to Dubai on holiday. Business maybe..
I stayed at the Atlantis. Great food and gym

Hot deal for a hot country
But like that's been said don't hold your girlfriends hand in public, but you could just hold any mans hand going down the street like the Locals do!!!- seen it there loads of times.

Arrgh ... just realised I could have done a stop over in Istanbul for free, anyway I did Quidco for @ 1.7% - still hope Debit card wasn't a stupid way of paying they say they are Atol protecteced, presume these flights would be covered under Atol ?

I hear you. When I was based in the Far East I used to have to travel there every couple of months, used to dread it and it was always a matter of complete amazement that people would choose it for a holiday destination. When the meetings got switched to Jordan there was a huge collective sigh of relief.

Pegasus..... who?

http://i.imgur.com/4j7PcNW.jpg

I spend a month every year in Dubai.

No problem with the pubs.

The Irish Village is great. A band playing every night, and mobbed with over 250 people at the weekend.
Fibbers on SZR is a good pub. Has a pub quiz for Brits on Tuesday nights, and is run by a Scot and an English girl.
The Dubliners pub at the Le Meridian is always busy for football matches.

If you are hiring a car, go to Baracuda complex about an hours drive over two Emirates, and stock up on alcohol. Vodka can be had for a quid a bottle up to a fiver for a litre of Smirnoff. Beer is about 60p a can.

Cigarettes cost about £1.50 a pack of Marlborough, but decent cigs can be had for about 30p a pack in all shops.

Remember that their weekend is Friday and Saturday.

The malls are amazing, but if you've seen one you've seen them all. They're only there for locals during the summer when it's 55 degrees.

If you don't fly with Emirates, you will spend an hour at passport control in a long queue.

There are always good food and beer deals, but remember that a pint is a fiver.

The place is full of Brits.

Very good price
Why so much haters on here. Dubai is full of Europeans and uk

hmm, I can see Price of £292 for the dates I want on opodo, but going thu the pegasus website, I see No Flights for the same dates??!!

Is this a confirmed deal, but only thru opodo??
