Flights to New York, Virgin Atlantic from £369 + Other deals - 4 Day Sale

Virgin Atlantic are doing a good deal for flights to the USA (inc. New York). Higher price than a few other airlines but I've found them great to fly with.

Dates for New York are:
New York £369 01 Apr 13 - 24 Jun 13 from LHR

The flights from Manchester go Via London but are still £369...no premium to pay.

The other deals are worldwide..Orlando, Boston and Shanghai seem to stand out as good prices.

I completely agree...some people love them and some hate. Maybe it depends on the route...I've flown with them to Orlando, Boston, San Fran and Shanghai and they were great.

I think its the same with all airlines, look at the flack Ryanair get yet im relluctant to fly with anyone else x

hot by the way im going to share your link on my holiday threads as often people are asking for usa and i dont know where to point them xx

Orlando @ £399 with 2 months notice... wow, just wow! I wish I could take up that offer, sadly circumstance means I can't.

This deal isn't hot, it's smoking!

If possible choose a flight on the Airbus and not a Boeing - Our flights outbound on the airbus were a much nicer and modern experience.

There was an hour difference (airbus being the later flight) which also would have given us another hour in new york, but unfortunately we needed to get back to avoid the M25 rush hour.

The airbus had nice led touchscreen tv's in them which could be viewed from all angles. Could even see my wifes on the screen next to me when she wanted to show me something. Everything done from the touchscreen.

The Boeing 747 on the way back was pretty shoddy - broken seats (3 people around us complained), really bad TV's in comparison, older style and had a swivel on the back of the seat which still didn't give a great view when the seat in front reclined and had an old style wired remote which barely worked - Also the wired remote is built into the side of armrest where your leg can hit it so if you move you tend to knock it .

I agree completely. The 747 we flew to Orlando on was shoddy. My seat kept going back on its own, every few minutes you had to pull it forward again. Great fun on an 9 hour flight. One of the TV's didn't work at all. A lot of people were complaining.

Great.

Depends on where you depart from

All the Gatwick & Manchester fleet have been refurbished with new seats and new entertainment systems. Last was completed end of last year I think.

The 747 is a better pick then the Airbus as its quicker.

But yeah, the Heathrow fleet need an update now with the newer entertainment system. But Virgin let the Gatwick fleet get very bad before doing anything about it so might be many years.

When are you going? I may have a spare room advertised up on AirBNB by the time you get there (moving middle of June to NYC).

Booked flights earlier, thanks to the OP. 2 returns to JFK, flying June, back in December, can't wait!
