Flights within Asia from £9 (just pay taxes) @ Air Asia

Just in from TravelZoo....

We just stumbled upon some fantastic fares for travel in Asia. Fly FREE on award-winning** Air Asia to and from various destinations within Asia -- just pay taxes, which start at £9 return. You'll have plenty of time to plan and book your flights from the UK since this deal is valid for travel between 5 January and 30 April, 2010, but you must book this offer by Friday, 15 May.

Here's a sample of the outstanding fares; prices are listed for return flights:

* Bangkok, Thailand, to Phuket, Thailand... £9 (THB460)
* Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to Langkawi, Malaysia... £11 (MYR60)
* Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to Macau... £22 (MYR120)
* Bali, Indonesia, to Singapore... £23 (IDR360,000)
* Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to Hong Kong... £26 (MYR140)
* Penang, Malaysia, to Singapore... £27 (MYR146)

We found great availability for these fares throughout the travel window, however you may need to be flexible with your dates to find the promotion fare on both legs. Look for the 0.00 MYR/IDR/THB, etc, for the lowest fares and only pay taxes.

This price includes airport check-in and hand baggage, however Air Asia charges £5 for pre-booked checked baggage (up to 15kg) -- prices may be higher at the airport. Advance seat requests are also available for a fee; price is dependent on departure point.

How to book: Click on the link to book online with Air Asia.

Travelzoo tip: Air Asia X (Air Asia's longhaul branch) is offering return flights from London Stansted to Kuala Lumpur during this travel period starting at £238 return; look for £76 outbound and £121 inbound, pre-tax fares. Click here for details.

Hope it's useful for someone out there :-)

these flights are commonplace and common knowledge in the region and therefore it isn't really a 'deal'. anyone who's even stepped foot in the region or knows anyone in the region can tell you that these are normal prices that can be had all year round. cold from me mate.

This sounds great but I cant find any cheap flights, how much do they usually go for with taxes? looking for anytime in S

That's just not true though is it?
If i wanted to fly from Bankok to Phuket next month then looking at Air Asia's website i would pay in the region of THB1000 PLUS taxes. For this you are paying JUST taxes. It's similar to Ryanairs European deals i guess as is really a 'deal'.
