Why the cold votes? Is it because I am from Aldi? If so. Get a life.

Generally u cant go far wrong if its made in Germany!..

Ok high speed crash, rolling on road and your thinking to yourself
"why was a such a tightass PLEASE don't open as you roll"

If it does you'll lose your face. I'd rather not personally.

cracking up laughing.

I'm sure your life os worth more then £40! Never buy any helmet with less then 4 stars on sharp website...

do your search before you buy a helmet. Its not a toy... This one is good for helmet fight though (if you have no pillows left around!)

Its as if you think these helmets don't have to meet the standards
the other brands do just because they are being sold in aldi.

Saying that I would NEVER buy a flip front helmet from ANY brand,
for exactly the reason you describe.

A full face solid helmet is best IMO, but each to their own.

If you look on a lot of biking forums, the aldi / lidl biking gear
always gets good reviews and write ups.

I wouldn't wear a flip lid..... for the obvious fact they are not as safe as full face. I wouldn't want to do a face plant wearing one.
Anyway.... I've already posted a deal a few days ago covering all the Lidl motorcycle gear.

Not true guys. Not all the flip helmets are the same! And it doesn't necessarily mean you will lose your face in an accident. Of course that doesn't apply to the helmet on this deal. I would say just don't buy it and if you do, use it only to plant flowers!..

Caberg makes really good flip helmets with 5 stars from sharp and are the most affordable ones. BMW also has a 5 star flip front helmets but the price will stretch up to £230.

"The Caberg Konda flip-front helmet receives the highest 5 Star Sharp Rating and offers much more safety for much less money. Caberg helmets offer renowned build quality and affordability and are now also acknowledged as one of the safest" LondonBikers

Considering a good proportion of shoei and arai helmets
score 3 or less stars on the sharp tests, and some of the
cheapest helmets beat them, then your little saying is, to be
quite blunt, ****.

The box BX1 or BX2, a 30 quid helmet you can get from eBay
or any bike shop all day long beats a good proportion of the
high end helmets hands down, says it all really.

Maybe thats the plan

went to get this today - bought it and ended up returning it as it really is quite pants. For £40, it looks sub-standard, feels sub-standard and I bet it will protect the head in a crash sub-standard too. Quite flimsy if you push from the sides. The visor is also not that solid.

Avoid.

Cheaper than a divorce, I suppose?

ok, sorry, thirty pound helment, thirty pound head also? hows that grab you? cheap skates!!

Bought one today, not a bad looking helmet for the money and it meets the ECE-R 22.05 (Regulation No. 22) standard. Perhaps some of you "experts" might want to research a subject before you go spouting ****
