Been on the lookout for one of these and this looks cheap to me but if anyone can find a similar floating TV stand cheaper, be my guest!

These are great - already have a stand but voted hot hot hot!

I bought one of these when they were £70 the quality of the aluminium poles was not very good and they were scratched, I also had a few parts missing, but fair play to ebuyer I returned it without any problems and ended up buying a similar one from argos at almost twice the price.

same price at argos

Whats the Argos catalogue number? Cheapest I see at Argos is £129.79 ]here

I bought one of these the other week, not great instructions but all in all very happy with it. Luckily no problems like shimmyman

Uiaman - Don't know where you're looking but i can't seem to find a stand even similar to this one for £60 at Argos(similar one start at around £120(Don't think i'm missing anything!)). From when i was checking this was a great price at £60 & i couldn't find a similar one anywhere for the same price.

Interested in getting this for my parents, and wondered how the tv mounts as the tv is a medion lcd tv and is not a vesa mount.

If its universal I will order this for them.

Thanks

Does anyone know for sure if this will fit a Panasonic TX-32LXD70????

Unless there is a hidden hovercraft function to this I can't see where the floating bit comes in. Unless some lazy ebuyer bod just did copy and paste from this one (not hard to find a better looker for the same price A_n_d_y) -

Anyone know if its a universal mount or Vesa ???

Great deal. I paid £100 for something similar but it can accommodate 2 full size pieces of AV kit side-by-side on each shelf and has a smaller 3rd shelf, which I needed for my (huge) centre speaker! This one is good for those that don't have too much kit, though.

Cantilever stands like this are great if you don't want to or aren't able to wall-mount!

Buy it at your own risk.

I guarantee you will receive it with missing parts and the ones which you really need.

I purchased it when it was £70 on new years eve. Arrived after 10 days with the missing parts. The main parts which were missing were one lower mdf shelves, the cable tidy mdf board and the silver board where the lcd fixes to.

I opened an eNote which got replied to after a week (and they say within 48hrs). They built up a zero cost order for the missing parts. I received the parts after 5 days only to find out that they sent me the same parts again, typical ebuyer customer services.

I had enough so I opened an eNote to return the items (rma) for a refund. They accepted the rma and collected the goods after a couple of days. After receiving it they initated a refund.

Waited another 10 days for the refund and finally received it. Absolute nightmare dealing with them in this transaction. Took more than a month to sort out.

This item came it 2 boxes. One with the black glass shelf and the other with the rest of the stuff, the aluminium tubes, rods, nuts and bolts. The above mentioned items were missing and I guarantee you will also receive them missing.

No wonder there are no reviews or comments posted on their website, that is because all of them would be 100% negative. I wrote one and it was never submitted.

Buy it at your own risk, you have been warned.

My advice would be to stay clear and buy the one recommended by "englishpaul":
goodmansdirect.co.uk/pro…-GB (this should be worthy of a hotdeal on its own

A Great looking stand at an unbeatable price and will fit up to 42" LCD TV's too.

Is this not capable of taking my 17" Relisys?

i think this is one of those things where you ether like or you dont! in my case i find this slightly hideous!

From the description I thought this was great; but unless the actual stand is vastly different in apperance I don't know where ebuyer get all the rot about

Hanging the screen as if on a wall and suspending separates as if … Hanging the screen as if on a wall and suspending separates as if floating in mid air, this Vistron stand adds presence to anyone's audio visual units.

That's one elephant in the living room!

I think a really small screen would look a little lost on the stand ;-)
And the fixing holes are probably all wrong for it...

Awful looking stand. Serious style issues in many houses I reckon!

Ikea have some cheap and cheerful alternatives that actually encourage you to look at the expensive screen you've bought:p

You will need an integral table top stand fitted but most sets have this anyway.

If you've got a Panasonic without this, buy the Panasonic stand!

This stand is much better looking than both the first one and the Goodmans one. These are probably just what I need because I'll be moving in to a new flat in a few months and I doubt they'll want me drilling in to their wall. But I will if I can because plasmas/lcds look so much better on the wall.

I agree that this one looks much better but cannot understand ebuyers description that the TV will appear as if its floating. There's a bloomin great support FFS!

Personally I prefer an enclosed floor unit so you dont have all your game / dvd boxes falling off the sides.

Also bear in mind these stands are shown with a 32" TV on them at best. My 50" is 120cm wide and the stand is only 1m wide so I wouldn't trust it for starters and also it might look a little odd.

Here's a pic of my stand if someone's looking for something similar but bigger

That's a 32" Toshiba WLT66 on it. I have a larger centre speaker, now. Holds up to a 60" TV and I don't think one would look out of place. ]£90 + shipping from Allcam. Comes to just under £100 I think with shipping. I paid with Google checkout and somehow it ended up being just over £100 using that method but I know a guy who paid with Paypal and paid £96.

It comes down to personal taste. It makes my set-up look more "obvious" but I'm happy with this. It's the centre-piece of this room and I use it as a sort of a "home cinema" room. If you life with your wife/girlfriend she might not be!

Love it! I'd rather pay the extra £40 and get yours.

Yeah poisonjam, much better looking!

Wharfdales with a Mordant-Short Centre? I prefer the Mordants anyway...very nice setup there, looks good!

Thanks It's a Diamond 9CS centre I have now. Basically, I used to use the Diamond 9.1s for music and had a MS Premier Avant system for AV. I blew the MS front speakers and then used the 9.1s as fronts for both music and AV. I then upgraded the centre and next I'll upgrade to a better sub.

Got mine delivered yesterday, the one with the single chrome pole, which is now £49.99 (reduced the day after I ordered :x

Looks pretty good in the flesh actually. The two shelves are black glass, which looks fairly swish. The silver bit that hold the vesa rods to keep the TV up is MDF and looks pretty nasty, but then will never actually be on show. When I opened it I thought it was one of the shelves. A look of horror filled my face until I realised the two shelves were in the same package.

Haven't managed to actually get the TV on it- there seems to be 2 fewer screws than I need (although there was a bag supplied with all sorts of screws and washers in it). Part of the package seems to be a generic thing common to the whole series of stands- the instructions included were actually for a slightly different stand, but they were similar enough to be fine to use.
