But no more buttermilk as the recipe was changed a short while ago so that it was vegan. It now contains palm oil and tastes nothing like it did before.

Looks out of date from what I can make out. Flora's site:

flora.com/gb/…ry/

I suppose they could some old stock but perhaps they just haven't updated their website?

Further reading from Flora website:

"Why have you taken buttermilk out of Flora Buttery?

Flora strongly believes in the goodness of plants, that’s why we don’t add any dairy ingredients to our recipes and all our range is a 100% plant goodness. Flora buttery still has a creamy buttery taste but the great news is that it is now 100% plant based."

"Do you use buttermilk in Flora?

We don’t use buttermilk in our Flora range. We have recently changed our recipe and don't add any dairy ingredients to our products."

This is not pure butter but a substitute.

High in trans fats.

I'm sticking to anchor.

Kindest regards
I think "buttery" is colourful marketing at best!

According to Flora's website, their products have 0% trans fat.

This has been the case since the 1990s.

Well if that was the case then they would be sued under the trade descriptions act!

Not just vegan.

They recon it tastes just like butter, but vegan, halal, cosher and everything else ... Kinda trying to keep everyone happy, but more likely just cheaper to only do one option

They need to update. It is vegan, and everything else proof. I'd be happy if they just removed the palm oil.

Yes - we use butter these days.

I know, but I wanted to use words that would be understood.
Sadly, those saying that this deal is not vegan ... are correct.

This product contains milk, other stuff, and most disappointingly still contains palm oil.

However, this is because Iceland bought all of the end of line stock, the old product (on short code) that manufacturers have replaced with the new recipe with no palm oil.

Maybe buy elsewhere, they'll have the proper stuff, with longer shelf life! I bet Heron and some other clearance stores may have this old product too.
