What I found when I went in late December last year was that I managed to complete Islands of Adventure in roughly 4 hours, arriving when the park opened and 6 hours with Universal Studios

I'm not saying it's a bad deal, all I'm saying is that who needs a 7 consecutive day ticket, when 1 day at each park is plenty of time to see everything.

No offence but what are you, a 70 year old pensioner...Islands of Adventure in 4 hours??. We go to Florida every year and have for the last 8 now and you need at least two days in Islands of Adventure and 1-2 in Universal Studios unless of course you dont go on any rides which I presume is what the above poster did. I think this is a decent ticket price at £60.00 good find.!!!:-D:-D

We arrived when the gates opened, so the park was empty for the first hour or so and we did miss out the kiddie section of the park. Tbh, there didn't seem to be that many rides there.

Total 7 rides - finished by around 2pm

i came back in june and Costco florida was doing 3 month unlimated for $99 for both parks, i liked universal but dont get sucked into buying the food plan as there are only 3 restaurants listed per park and each one had about an half to 1 hour queue for food...bad idea.. we spent a lot of time there and enjoyed all rides so worth keep going back unless you are a one ride per go person...

seems like a good deal to me:-D

octobergirl you are a star!
Belive it or not we're flying to Tampa tomorrow and we were just discussing if we want to go to Universal or not. Guess where we're going now?
Heat and rep for you.

It's almost the same price for a 1 day 2 park ticket $89

This has been around for a long time though

This is a veritable bargain.

IMVHO, I enjoyed the 2 universals far more than I did with Disney. My 12 year old son agrees too.
Disney was overhyped and if you're not into the whole "magic kingdom" thing, then it's a bit lame.

We must have been on MIB half a dozen times and Revenge of the Mummy is still my favourite ride in the whole 2 weeks!

We were lucky that we had 7 day tickets.

EVEN BIGGER BARGAIN AVAILABLE!

I noticed that all Travelzoo is doing is being an "affiliate". In otherwords, you are just getting cashback.

So I wondered what I could get "myself". Found this one through quidco

14 Day Ticket for £73.06 plus a GENEROUS 2% Quidco!

great price op. the mummys revenge at universal is my alltime fave ride .... its fantastic! the simpsons 3d ride cool along with men in black , jurassic water adventure , jaws , terminator 3d .... but the hulk ride will give you goose bumps - second fave ride and duelling dreagons is a close third . enjoy you florida lovers !

I bought the 3 month 2 park ticket from Costco in Orlando a couple of weeks ago for $89 with no tax.

$120 will buy you a annual pass for both parks.
If you go every year, as we do, you can renew it before it expires, normally a couple of weeks either side for $99.

Can the UK Costco card be used in Florida?

Also When do these tickets expire; could we buy them now for next year?

Well we went in September 07, and the parks, all of them were empty. No waiting in ques although it was a pain having to run round all the barriers and Jaws was closed. Disney was a bit busier but the ques were maybe 5 mins tops.

We got bored of the parks cause we got round them about 3 times in a day, although we are going back next year for Harry Potter Land and we never made it to Sea World the last time.

What this man says is correct, myself and the wife both have preferred passes (cost more first year) now we renew each time and it's $99 and we get 15 months not 12, don't pay for parking (saves $12 a time) and can come and go whnever we please. Also if you go for haloween you can enter the park an hour earlier than "normal" folks.

It's generally as cheap to buy an annual pass as a 3 day pass which is quite sad if you don't realise it.

Halloween is awesome at Universal,

We are going in 8 weeks and want to buy 1 annual pass to save on parking, then the 14 day deal, anyone got any links to the annual pass plz?

Will mention this to my parents who rent out villa's in Orlando. Might be of use to some guests.

please note there is a 34 dollar fee which is added to this charge at booking page if 4 tickets required,i now think the 73 pound uk deal mentioned earlier is a better deal for the 14 day pass

this might help anyone looking for florida theme park tickets -

Think you have to buy them out there, can't do it over the internet as far as I'm aware...

Thought you had to be a USA citizen to get an annual pass.
Correct me if i wrong.

Am I blind!

I can't see the £60 ($99USD) price anywhere on the site?

Can somebody help please!

There is no mention of the 14 day ticket being unlimited admission. It says it is valid for up to 14 days which makes me think that you can only visit each park once!

universal website has the offer on there site for $99 too print at home..
we bought this last year and it's unlimited entry to both parks for the duration

I have a preffered annual pass also and it costs $229 plus tax but gives you great benefits and depends how many times you go ..I think renewal is no up to $109 +tax or $119 +tax which is good depending on how many times you go ..We have been 3 times in the past 13 months so we really benefit from it

Thats a diffeent offer. There is a two park 6 day offer for $99 on the universal site. It also gives a "bonus" £150 discount voucher for things within Universal. although this will probably turn out to be for things you don't want.

I have emailed them about this and it does include UK and the tickets can be used anytime. I was looking for 2010 tickets and there was no problem using the universal offer. You exhance the printed voucher for tickets when you get there

This man knows!!

Me and the wife have had annual passes since 2006. I have a power pass, she has a preffered. That way we drop the cost but still get all the other benefits like discounts on food, drink, cinema tickets in city walk, merchandise etc.. Plus, you get $15 off per person for the halloween fear pass. But even despite all these, remember this, the free parking alone makes this ticket worthwhile. It was a total no brainer. Especially as we go out there twice a yr (once around spring and again for HHN)

As for how quickly you get round the parks... This is completely dependent on 2 things: 1: the time of year and 2 whether you like shopping. During busy times of the year, I've known queues to be 90+ mins and other times you just walk straight on. So this will affect the amount of time you need. and second, remember there are far far more shops than rides in both universal parks. If you like that sort of thing and spend hours trawling through spongebob and simpsons merchandise then, yes it's gonna take a while longer. Personally, as I've been to these parks probably 60 or 70 times each, I know what i'm doing, where I'm going and what rides I wanna do. As such, I can comfortably get the best of both parks done in a morning, go grab some lunch and head out to some of the good malls for the afternoon (no, not florida mall!!). And the same applies to Disney. I've done all the best rides from all 4 parks in 1 day. You just have to be selective and keep moving.

Of course if you've never been before then it will take longer cos you need to discover and work out what works for you.

Power Pass is what we have, thanks for jogging my memory.
As for being a resident of the US, these guys will take your money whoever you are!
Still, I don't think you can buy them online, must be at the gate if your a UK resident.
Must look into upgrading mine to the preferred pass this year, but as we don't drive, not sure of the other benefits.
Bobzillia; beat you on the park hopping at Disney, did 5 in one day! Record for space mountain was 9 times in a row; 12 times in a row for ET (my son was 3 and wouldn't get off) and 11 times for Duelling Dragons, felt really sick and my back ached big time!

I'm going to Orlando for a week for my honeymoon, only a week, too much to do, nowhere near enough time. I feel we should do one day on a disney park as we are staying in downtown disney, but the Universal parks look to be more in tune with the sorts of things we want to do. Definitely want to do lots of water park type things and apparently I MUST see the big shamu.

I'm giving heat to the poster before my head explodes with the choices!

Anyone know any good deals for disney tickets? Ive got universal tickets sorted but hoping not to pay the earth to see Mr Mouse and friends. Anyone think its worth paying for park hopping?
