Yeah another Gearbest Floureon CCTV deal....bit more than the other set posted today but specs say these are better cameras.

Unless it's something I think is really good value I'm not a fan of Chinashop deals but these are I think a great price and they ship from UK

I actually ordered this set myself on 29th November and received them 4 working days later on 5th December.

Currently have them setup on a desk connected to second input on my PC monitor ready for Installing outside at the weekend (Been fun seeing what the dog gets up to while I'm at work :-) ). The CCTV guru's will tell you that you get what you pay for but personally for a basic setup you get a lot for your money with these. I guess time will tell how reliable they are but for the price I think they are excellent.

Everyone who ordered Floureon cameras in the deals last week seem pretty happy with them.

I currently have a single 720p IP Foscam camera installed and the quality of the 3000TVL Fleureons I received is as good to my untrained eye.

For Info I have all 4 Camera's in test running at 1080p x264 VBR recording and it's using 200gb per day storage.

with a port forward enabled and DDNS setup I can view from anywhere using IE (only browser that seems to work) and on Android using the XMEye app from google Playstore

play.google.com/sto…_GB

Package details from Gearbest site:

- 1 X 8CH 1080N HDMI CCTV AHD TVI DVR (Hard Drive Not Included)
- 4 X 3000TVL Waterproof IR-Cut Bullet Security Cameras
- 4 X 60ft(18.3M) Video Power Cable for Security Cameras
- 1 X 1-4 Power Splitter Cable for Cameras
- 1 X USB Mouse For DVR
- 1 X Power Supply for DVR (UK Plug)
- 1 X Power Supply for Cameras (UK Plug)
- 1 X User Manual (English/German/French/Spanish/Italian)
- 1 X CD Software

some old but useful Youtube unboxing and setup videos of a similar system here that helped me decide before buying.....other than camera spec this seems pretty identical to this posted deal (other than only having two cameras in the videos)

any links to wireless sets guys

Remember you still have to wire a power cable to wi-fi camera's. May as well just use a wired camera......

I'm after a cheap nvr to work with hikvision cameras... Any recommendations?

any links to wireless sets guys

Just wired a Zosi 720p one up and wiring was very easy. Straight through the fascia board into the loft and put the DVR in the loft. Ran a Cat5 network cable externally to the router and can monitor everything on my mobile or PC. Very impressed with quality for the price and excellent piece of mind and detterant.

Always go wired if at all possible. If someone still burgles you after seeing your cameras then they are determined, in fact the very visibility of the cameras is the main deterrent, but blocking a wireless signal is remarkably easy and fairly cheap. With wired they have to get to the wires themselves, with wireless you can be 20 feet away.

anyone added a hard drive to this...what size would you need..

Most wired set-ups require just 1x power plug to run all 4x/8x cameras.

Wireless set-ups require 1x power plug for each wireless camera (e.g 4x or 8x wall sockets required).

Also, the wireless signal to each camera can be lost at any given moment.

Thanks op, great deal! Never seen them so cheap and even better that they're coming from the EU warehouse!

I've bought the white 4 X wifi one that was on here for £47,
but a pain in the $£$£ to put cables everywhere and just follow the cables and you'll find the DVR,

with my wifi cameras i can easily move them and put them somewhere else

I'm going to connect a powerline adaptor so i can hide the DVR., no camera wires

It says insufficient stock when I press add to cart.

200gb per day?
Hard drives will be finished in 6 months tops.

There's a reason it's cheap - are you going to pay return it for a refund when it turns out to be rubbish? Tracked delivery to China's not cheap! I certainly won't buy from them again and I recommend you avoid them too.

I have a WD Purple drive in there....Yes the Camera's are writing data to the hard drive 24x7 just like any other CCTV NVR does...it's what they do.
If and when it fails I'll drop another one in...not really the end of the world is it....

Consider me schooled.
Had no idea they were rated to this level.

I have this model which I purchased from ebay for £60 and its ok for what I need, 3 out of the 4 cams switch to night mode when they need to but one stays on colour all the time , watching from my phone doesn't always work, maybe 70% of the time but unless you gonna spend some proper money you get what you pay for, mine is on 24/7 and rewrites after 6 days based on a 200gb hd

Not forgetting that alot of these wireless cameras have an sdcard built in.

You can also setup the DVR to automatically write Alarm (motion detected) recordings to an FTP server, this can be your own away from the DVR or a 3rd party cloud provider .

Don’t you need a business broadband account, so that they don’t keep on changing your public IP address? It was a problem an old neighbour faced

simple enough to set it to record on detecting movement only, why would you want to record anything else, its also easy enough to set it to loop record, in other words it will overwrite previous recroding after whatever length of time you select.I have had cctv for years and spent a fortune on various cameras but decided to go for a full kit but wasn't prepared to pay a fortune. After trawling the Internet I bought a set of 4 cameras dvr with 2TB HDand remote control complete with all cables each 16mt long. I can also monitor it from anywhere in the world, not that I would want to.
Picture quality is excellent, night vision is also very good.Very simple to set up, rooting the cables and dvr out of sight is important, runs all 4 cameras off 1 power supply. All in all fantastic value for money, how long it will last is anyones guess but for now its brilliant. They are Hview and cost total price of £85. The 1TB HD will cost around £30-40. I am a private buyer and do not provide any free products for reviews unlike some people.

Why do you need a fixed IP address?

Why do you need a fixed IP address?

It allows you to have a way to always connect to your home network as you always have the same IP address whereas most users IP changes every now and then, most people won't need that ability but for me I have a PC at home that I can connect to via a VPN and access the PC when away from home. Same thing for IP cameras, when away from home you can connect back to a device on your home network.

However there are other ways to get around this, many IP cameras have a service where the camera is accessible via the manufacturers dedicated website.

Hello all, for those who purchased it what is the quality like and playback like on smart phones? What app does it use?
