If you can't get the jab for free from your GP, this is a great way to get it and its getting cold and the flu season is starting :-(

I had mine done today in Leeds Merrion Centre Superdrug and the Pharmacist lady was really nice and it did not hurt a bit! You can just walk in and get it done!

very good deal, thanks for this info.

IF people vote "cold" would that count as a punn??

Erm, forgive me for not being from England, but aren't these supposed to be free as covered by the Government?

Edit: nvm. I promised i'd stop complaining about this country.

Looks like the Swine Flu vaccine has been produced, tested and is now available from today.

I wonder if this will be included?

i'm definitely getting this done. i spent last christmas and boxing day (and the days either side) in bed, first time i had the flu, i'm not having my christmas ruined again for the sake of a tenner (or £8. rep to op for reminding me

Also £8 at Sainsburys - price was reduced from yesterday - Sorry COLD

I am sure your posts are welcome wherever you are from, but your behaviour is a little odd.

Firstly flue jabs in this country are free for vulnerable people.

Maybe you are from somewhere that gives free flu jabs to everyone? I would be interested to know where that is.

Of course if you find yourself complaining about this country all the time maybe you should consider returning to where you came from?

Cold as just £8 at Tesco, Sainsbury, Asda.

These are, as far as I know, the seasonal flu vaccines, and do not cover swine flu treatment. Also, potentially bonus clubcard points at Tesco, as my local pharmacy is doing a promotion on Pharmacy spend over £4 or so.

So... NOW you know understand it all about the whingers who moan "I'm dying, I've got Flu" as they continue on going on with their lives, going out, and doing everything as normal!

You just can't think of doing anything with Flu, even when it's quite mild!

Makes 8 to 10 quid seem a bargain, even if it isn't 100% guaranteed to prevent Flu with everyone - the lower chance, is well worth the little effort of getting the jab!

As to the cold votes - well, even if you are eligible for a freebie, the time and convenience does it for me, fitting everything in life is often challenge enough - what with getting an appointment and then the waiting around (with all those SICK people!) it is well worth 8 quid... and that's from someone who is TIGHT! I can even save myself driving about 4 miles round trip too! I think it will very much depend on which place is handiest, rather than which one is the cheapest, as it's only 2 quid difference between them.

If your life is so empty that going to the Doctor's surgery to hang around is a way of filling the day, then fine - save the money!

Another Old wive's tale.

Had Flu jabs for years with ZERO ill effect, as compared to Hepatitis B jabs - my work NEEDED them... but getting a response was initially a challenge & since retiring, I have tried to keep immunity up since, but I still have big problems maintaining any sort of proper response, yet get mild flu type symptoms EVERY time :-(

Fortunately you are wrong as the vaccination you receive is a dead version of the flu, which can not harm you.

Which is precisely why the ill effects are few & far between, unlike some!
