I have just posted the London Heathrow prices as these are the best ones; however if you wish to fly from Manchester it is only a few quid more in most cases. The links above will take you to the flights from Manchester; just scroll down the page and select "Gods own Country", sorry "Manchester"

great prices! I need a flight to Joburg but not till next June 2010(for the world cup). Would be unbelievable if I could get something for this price. Heat given.

Very tempting!

Have some heat just for the deal piccy alone ;-)

Nice find Mr Wedge, heat and rep. Who the hell made you a mod!!!! Hope you and the family are well.

Netflights are part of the Thomas Cook group

Hot prices here and I've added heat. though it has reminded me of how angry I am with Etihad so here follows a short rant...

I wouldn't fly Etihad anymore even though they are cheap. When they first launched they were pretty good and they won a bunch of awards for it especially for their business class service.

But over the last few years I have found the service in economy (which is where I travel!) to be getting worse. The food on long flights is poor, their airport in AbuDhabi is overpriced and lacking in choice. And most disappointingly, for such a rich airline they are incredibly inflexible, and have a very unhelpful customer service team based out in India somewhere.

I had a return flight from BKK-MAN booked recently. I came back here a few months ago on a 2 month ticket (so I could change anytime within 2 months). Ticket cost me almost £700 for economy so it wasn't cheap. Anyway, while I've been here all the political unrest has broken out in Thailand with ministers being shot at etc. So I thought I'd just delay my flight a little. I rang the customer service team which happened to be based in India...and the long and short of it is they won't change the date so I offer to pay extra to change the ticket class to a 6 month ticket and they won't even do that. So I ask the name of the customer service rep and they guy replies: 'My name is Raaaj...I mean Robin. Robin Scott.'

So then I'm lied to as well! Amazing.

Just awful awful customer service and lack of flexibility. Thumbs down to Etihad!! Give me Emirates and Qatar anyday! :x

Most Indian call centers give their staff 'English' names to use so he just made a mistake using his real name.

We're not the only country in this situation.

That is true- mention in this thread ministers being shot etc...got get this place sorted out!

However, in the meantime I need to go to Oz, Canberra or Sydney on my own ( only ever flown long haul to New York!), as soon as possible in the next six weeks. Any body got any tips of how to go about finding the best price to do this? Can from from any Londonairport- and frankly if it was cheap enough I would travel in this country to get a good priced flight. Ideally for a month give or take a bit. Need to go to a family grave cheerily enough!

Cheapest way I can think off of the top of my head.. AirAsia to Kuala Lumpur from Stansted, then fly on to Aus.

is it wrong to vote hot cos the pic makes u laugh?

Am trying to book flight to Dubai, but can only book in June :?
Any ideas whats going on?

Cheers

The fares are very very strict.

Just my two cents... searched LHR to Melbourne, 28 Nov to 12 Dec (2 weeks, Saturday departures). Managed to get a quote for £536 on Etihad airways, which seems quite cheap. Searching Kayak on the same dates brings up Etihad as well, but at £544!!
