Excellent price for those that would like to fly pre Brexit. Fly in a Spitfire over the English Channel but don't fly to France just 20 minutes along the coastline. Should be possible to take larger free cabin baggage than Ryanair, probably more legroom too.
5 1/2 hour experience with what looks like 20 minutes flying time.
Would love to do it though.

My dad did this a couple of years ago. He thought it was worth every penny.
The day involves a briefing, watching others have their flights. We made it a family day out.

Sit in a museum to rot? Instead of it being flown, which is what it was designed to do. It's still history, just a living one.

Assuming it's a Supermarine Spitfire, it's a Merlin attraction either way.

You're so right, after Shoreham every single vintage plane still flying should have been grounded forever. It beggars belief that someone would sell tickets and raise funds to keep these ageing relics air worthy. What is the world coming to!! #groundallspitfires (edited)

The plane is likely to be no more than 40 years old. No two seater variants of the spitfire ever flew during the war. The majority of flying spitfires are now replicas
