Now that place brings back happy memories...
Hot because deals to Dundee don't often come up. Shame it's Stanstead though.

never mind that get to 24hr bakery and get some good grub worth the flight for that alone...

And yet European flights can be markedly lower than this.
May be a deal for some peak flights but not for most

Lots of quick trains from Liverpool Street, cheaper train fare than Gatwick/Luton/Stansted and then all you have is 200m walk from the station to the terminal. I was through security in 5 mins - no hassle at all. So much easier than Gatwick.

I agree, Southend was an extra half hour drive but I saved that due to quick check in and security, plus just 2 mins walk to terminal from car park. This must how flying was in the 1950s!

Gollywood

'London' Southend?

same applies to London Gatwick, London Luton and London Stansted

I agree it's not London though!

I paid £25 offpeak return and it was 50mins

archer1204

How long was the train journey and price thank you

I've done it. It's about an hour from Liverpool Street and if I remember correctly was about 15 quid each way.

Yup I agree with this. I fly often with them to London City and can't fault them. The 2x2 seating arrangement means you never have to worry about getting stuck in a middle seat if you don’t pay to pick your seat. Also because their planes are so small (capacity seems to be around 40) it boards quickly compared to larger planes, just feels so much smoother and everyone is in their seats easily without much stress/pushing. The on-board staff don’t push their products much, they just leave you to it.

Only real disadvantages are the on-board baggage allowance is a bit smaller. But this is really to do with the smaller aircraft and overhead lockers. Also speaking of smaller aircraft they do seem to get blown about a lot more compared to the larger jets, makes for some interesting landings.

Now I can't see the logo without going 'fllyyyyb?' and laughing to myself..
Are these similar to RyanAir for the cheap fares but pay for everything else, so it ends up costing you more in the long-run, type deals?

Lying B stards, its the same price as usual!! £61.98 for the cheapest belfast to london fare just paying the taxes. Yeah right

Hasn't they just reported a lost of 40m last year. Better pay with credit card.

I still have not been able to get through on the phone to use my free flight voucher having already spent 40 minutes at 10 pence a minute what a con

Fares are £10 tax is the other £90... I have BMI Miles to use on the same basis. I had enough points to fly to the US this year but the tax made it more expensive that buying the whole ticket from Virgin.

still worth a dive though considering it could save you £100 fare.

Ummm....

6. The bonus flight voucher covers the air fare only. Taxes, surcharges, insurance, advanced seat assignment, baggage, customs fines, immigration fees, airport charges, fuel surcharges, agricultural inspection fees, security, customer user fees or any other charges related to the booking must be paid by the voucher holder when making their flight booking.

I thought I was being completely honest about what the Pro's and cons … I thought I was being completely honest about what the Pro's and cons are. I was just trying to share something that could 'reduce' costs for some people, if you are going to blow it cold, at least say why

troubleshooter, you did a good job with your post, and added lots of information to provide a well rounded view of what the offer was.

Potentially great for someone that flies with Flybe a bit, who will collect other points too. I've flown with them and was impressed. Otherwise, someone who may want to switch card companies, and get a flight as a bonus, as they can check total price to pay on taxes etc, before deciding whether to take the offer up.

having checked some but not all flights from Newcastle the taxes/charges are far more than the cost of any flight ticket, I could fly British airways cheaper, not so good deal me thinks.

not voted cold or hot as someone may find a good deal
