Flipping cold voters today. If it aint something they want they will vote cold. Cant find anywhere cheaper heat added.

The Hedge trimmer attachment is a good price at Wickes too - if you can get it (in selected stores only) wickes.co.uk/Pet…199 @ £48.92

These are interchangable with the Ryobi Expand-it range and fit some other split shaft trimmers/brushcutters and unlike the ryobi hedge trimming attachment it is articulated so you can adjust the cutter's angle to trim the top of the hedge from ground level.

My local wickes doesn't stock them so we just got one for our Ryobi from Garden4less at £58 garden4less.co.uk/pro…-HT Usual price seems to be around £68

You can get extension poles for these split shaft systems so you should be able to avoid climbing a ladder.

Ryobi-direct also currently have a discounted chainsaw pruning attachment for £37.66 (after the 10% January sale discount) inc delivery to mainland uk ryobi-direct.com/aca…tml which I posted the other day, but seems to have been deleted.(same item is £68 from screwfix)

There's also a cheap Ryobi line strimmer on the same site.£76.42 inc delivery after the 10% discount ryobi-direct.com/aca…tml

Tesco's version is a lot cheaper if you don't mind not having the option of extra attachments. direct.tesco.com/q/R…spx

Also only 25cc, and I suspect the flymo is better quality

But for light home use the Tesco version does just fine (I've got one ). And for 40 quid less it's better value if you only need to use the thing 3-4 times a year. Obviously they're 2 different machines with one having upgradeable attachments etc, I just wanted to post a cheaper alternative.

Ideal World (shopping channel) occasionally have this Flymo as a bundle for £199 + p&p (£10?)
Includes Strimmer, Brushcutter, Hedgecutter & Chainsaw.
I think that works out slightly cheaper than buying the individual items but TBH I could have done without the brushcutter but never saw them as cheap as described by melted.
Well found! Heat added.

Yep agree if you want the extra attachements (which is why most people buy one of these 'multi-tools'). I'm waiting for the offer to come arounnd again after sending back their 'Mowland' version which was a bit rubbish. Anyway here's the link.

Hot though if you just want the brushcutter (and strimmer I assume).

On a related topic, you can get a flymo micro lawnmower at B&Q for £29.99. Picked mine up a couple of days ago. Very good deal if you have a small garden and don't mind raking up the cut grass.

Approx 2 weeks ago they were selling the 30cc Ryobi line strimmer plus the hedgecutter attachment for £100 . So look out for that deal when it comes round again if you specifically want these 2 items I think its gone back up to £150 for the 2 at the moment so will keep 'em peeled and let you know when its back on

Garden4less are doing a Ryobi with hedge attachment for £99.99 -
Ryobi Line Trimmer RLT-30CES with FREE Hedge Trimmer Attachment.
garden4less.co.uk/pro…0HT

But as the current Ryobi Hedge Trimmer attachment is not articulated, I think buying the flymo hedge trimmer attachment separately is worth the extra money, still I guess that depends on the height of your hedge.

According to the Garden4less site Ryobi are bringing out an improved articulated hedge trimmer attachment soon garden4less.co.uk/pro…-04 - from the picture the adjustment clamp looks a better design that on the flymo one, but then the flymo attachment is cheaper - especially if you can get it from Wickes.

ordered one of these this morning and now had it cancelled

but i got one saved instore for me at that price chears op heat to ya
