fm transmitter to use with your iPod or mp3 player in the car

allegedly boosts volume by 25%

looks like a cracking price to me

Compatible with iPod Photo, U2, Mini, 4G, 3G - not sure if this will work will all standard mp3 players or not?

£2.00 delivered - rrp claims to be £19.99

Be aware this device only works on certain iPods. From the image you can see an extra connector close to the headphone plug. These are the remote connectors found on most of the earlier iPods.

If your iPod has the wider connector that came with it from Apple that has the remote on the other end this transmitter should fit fine. If your iPod or MP3 player only has a headphone plug and no extra gap next to it for the additional connector I doubt very much that this will work for you.

Just a heads-up, it's cheap enough for those who can use it "

Also 99p stores are selling various iPod add ons. The only one I can remember is the infrared transmitter/receiver for track/menu manipulation for older iPods only

Yep, spot on. I have a belkin one with exactly the same connectors, it works great in my mini, but doesn’t work with my 5.5G ipod or iphone since that remote connector socket isn't there. It wont even plug in.

Good price for those with older ipod, but it wont work with any thing other than the ipods you list, and definitely wont work with non-ipods. Sorry its not better news, but it's probably best to update the post to mention this..

Z.

Good find. Will give it to daughter and hope it works. If not I'm sure one of her friends will be able to use it - if not she may be able to flog at a profit it when she goes to uni
Worth a punt at £2. H&R added.

thanks macpaul - have updated post

Does anyone know if this is compatible with the ipod classic? Thanks.

Very good price! I paid £25 or something ridiculous a few years ago for the iTrip when it came out!

Oh crap I bet it doesnt work with the classic. I just wasted 2 quid.

Really good for that price if you've got an older model as above use to have an itrip and very useful

This is not a transmitter! I bought one last time and all it does is it allows you to listen to the radio. It's pretty rubbish to be honest. Don't make the same mistake i did.

i bought one is this true because i thought it was fraud to say it does something but it doesnt

ahhh ok just read above

Received my FM Receiver today. Shame, cos I thought I actually bought an FM transmitter. Off to complain now.

Please join me in reporting this website. This is NO ACCIDENT and they are ROBBING people.

What's the point of sending me an FM radio receiver when the order was for an FM TRrnsmitter as described in their website and on their invoice.
Have emailed them with complaint and will see what happens.

Company won't respond to complaiint.

Guernsey trading standards CAN'T do anything, as misdescribing a product isn't covered in there remit. They advised taking them to court, which I would have to attend in person.

Off to do a credit card chargeback now.

Last time I EVER deal with these con artists.

I wrote a complaint to them. This is the reply.
