You'd get more profit doing a few days work instead of peddling **** on eBay

Heat added, although not for me.

If fm transmitters were the only items he/she was peddling on eBay. If that's all they do, buy things at incredible discounted prices, anything and everything, you can make a healthy profit, I know someone who does this as a full time job. BTW that someone isn't me.

Quite so, I can't imagine there are any cars in use that don't have bluetooth or at least, ugh god forbid, an analogue line input..... except perhaps 20 millions cars in the UK out of the 35 million in use here.

Excuse me for being a numpty, but what is this for? What does it do? How would I use it? Just curious.

Lets you play one of those new fangled tape "walkmen" or compact disk players to get played on your car wireless.

(also works with iPods, smartphones etc if the car radio doesn't have a jack socket USB port or bluetooth)

You plug it into the headphone socket of your phone, and what ever music you are playing is sent out as an FM radio signal from the device...

You then tune your car radio to the frequency the device is broadcasting on and listen to it. The signal is only broadcast 5-10 meters so can only be picked up in the immediate vicinity.

The quality on the devices I have used in the past, is not great.

is this for Iphone/ipad? I just noticed that connector is for old iphone (16 pin?)

All those commenting above regarding this product, i hav a 2006 model car which is probably old for u rich lads (i wonder y u guys visit hotukdeal) and it doesnt hav a "bluetooth". i use this everyday to steam audio from my phone. there is an aux port but i didnt bother to use that.

There are some modern, very high-spec cars that don't have AUX-in or Bluetooth links - I know because I bought a car without considering the repercussions of no input for external devices and it's bugging me to the point I want to buy the model year after just to avoid this irritation. FM transmitters are the next best option until I do that.

I drove around in a car for 3 years before I realised there was an aux in jack input in the glove compartment. Doh!

Before I discovered this, I bought two of these, one which had a fixed frequency which clashed with a local radio station, and another which allowed me to select the frequency, which was better but still not great quality (bit of a hiss).

not worth selling small things unless you get free postage and fees of 14% make it not worthwhile

If you really still need one of these, buy a Belkin one, as they are worth the extra. Ive had a few cheapy ones, but the Belkin is a class above.

The one in the picture certainly looks like the old apple 30-pin dock connector - which is probably why it's slashed in price.

Been into my local store in York and couldn't find it. Is this store specific or national?

Since when did sockets become 'jacks'?

Hugely irritating Americanism, not least because people use it to refer to BOTH sockets and plugs. Leading to many baffling 'how-to' guides and user manuals.

Let's start a campaign.

'Jack Off'.

Bought one last week at this price. They have a few presets, can plug your iPhone charger into it, but the quality is pretty poor
