bought one. thanks. Have a bit of warmth.

I bought one of these earlier this year at double this price, ended up chucking it away as the sound quality was absolutely dire!

+1 really terrible quality

I bought this one before and it didn't work properly - I got the music on but it kept resetting every 5 seconds and you would have to set it again

Have to agree.

What is the Max capacity SD ie GB this can take?

I got one of these earlier in the year for £8.00 Put a 4gb card in full of MP3s and use it all the time in the car with no problems, If I remember there are 4 ( I think ) different frequency settings where you tune it to your car radio then just use that channel for playing your MP3s, you can of course just change channel and listen to the radio as normal while this thing just keeps playing on the same frequency. Very clever as it's powered by the cigarette lighter socket and near enough to the radio so as not to cause any problems.

Does it have a Micro SD Card slot?

or use a sd adapter!

No it does not have a micro sd card slot but you could just use a micro sd card adaptor, there is no reason why that should't work.

i bought one from their shop on ebay for use when travelling on holiday.

only got sound from one speaker to start with, wiggled the lead around a bit, then got no sound at all, the connector snapped off inside and is now rattling around.
Not good quality at all (but wasn't expecting it to be)

great find

any suggestion on better quality transmitter? prepared to pay bit more to get good quality.

Expensive, but very good. No card slot but streams from a bluetooth device or Aux in.

Absolutely. Bought one of these a couple of months ago and I wish I hadn't bothered. Utterly dire piece of cheap tat, it's in the bin now. Avoid.

I got a similar one from DX. Absolute garbage. Not just the sound quality but if you turn it off and turn back on later it starts playing from the beginning and not where it stopped last. So anyone thinking of putting a 8GB card in will have to go on a world tour (non stop) to listen to all tracks unless you skip tracks one by one when you restart. Avoid..imo. There are better players available.

these cheap FM things are generally rubbish unfortunately.
now i'm all about the bargains, but if you use your car a lot imho it's worth the investment to get one of the quality brands for these.
we have a Belkin one that's A+ , was < fiver from Zavvi or Hut i think

Have had one of these six months now. great item with good sound.
Have also bought them for friends and family as pressies and had no bother with them.
There are different makers with different internals but the outer casing is the same.
If its the ones with the last song memory when powerd down and back on again they are the quality units if it goes back to song one they are the cheepos.

the only problem is it won't remember the track that is on when switched off. when you start your car, it always plays from the first track.

Showing as £5.16 now
