Still incredibly responsible to give flower bottled water, they will happily have tap water.

I do own a water butt, but it's been empty for weeks. I don't drink the tap water where I live, it smells like a swimming pool, so just use bottled water anyway. I'm just doing it at the moment, what with the lack of rain. I reuse the 5L empty bottles to stock up on rain water from the butt.

Probably doing more damage than good with all the empty water bottles! cheaper and better for the planet including the bees to get a water butt. Seriously though even if you were going to eat them they do not need mineral water. (pretty sure this is a wind up) (horror)

Cheers. I do have some wild flowers at the back of the garden, to be honest I'm kind of running out of room now. The Sunflowers have yet to flower, but I recall the bee's went nuts for them last year. I also only use organic methods within the garden, no slug pellets, fertilizers or sprays. I even water the plants with mineral water (bit extreme I know) :)

P.s. Well done for giving a reasonable amount, lots of interesting and useful stuff. :) This is also well worth a look while you wait for your pack.

Thanks for update! My sister was successful and had hers. Thanks to everyone who got behind this deal, if they ran out of seeds I can only imaging it's brilliant news for the Bees (and us in the long run.) I will keep my eye out for future freebies and deals like this. I'll expire the deal now. (highfive) (strong)

Received today below email Dear xxxx Thank you for requesting bee-friendly organic phacelia seeds. We have a little apology to make… We were (quite literally) overwhelmed with requests. It’s fantastic to see so many people share our passion for helping precious pollinators, but with such an amazing response we simply didn’t have enough seeds for everyone. We’re very sorry, and we hope to offer more seeds in the future.

by the way has anyone got their free seeds yet? always sign up for these but haven't received one yet , always end up buying from home bargains lots of forget-me-nots from last yesr

8 Days later... Still no seeds (poo) (poo) (poo)

Totally off the spectrum here, but I had been adding bee pollen to my breakfast, due to the health benefits...however, someone told me last week it's cruel for the bees, & they'd walked off when I asked them "how?" I haven't ate it since as I'm unsure, can anyone inform/educate me? Thanks in advance...heat for the free seeds too

Wildflowers are beneficial for all different kind of creatures in different ways. Nature is a very complex Web of interconnecting things. I found the plants that the bees in my garden really like are lavender (got loads for a fiver on a hukd deal), borage and hollyhocks (bumble bees go crazy for it). Better still don't use pesticides etc. and don't keep everything hyper neat and tidy. Wildlife hates regimented borders and lawns mowed within an inch of their life.

They do. They fly around pollinating and making sure they grow as well. It's all very business like just like farming should be. However they're only little and aren't able to hire mini diggers to protect their gardens.

Can't the bees plant them in their own god damn gardens?

Someone wants to give me seeds, I'm all for it. But I'll not be passing on MY details for sales calls. We really wouldn't.

russell howard added to the bill and this is a 'deal'. It's a one time only chance to see around 10 acts for half the price you would normally pay to see either Russell howard or tim minchin. It's a one off event so in my mind worth posting. It's also for a good cause. Voted hot and bagged 3 tickets.

cold not a 'deal'

Would love to go, but London is too far for me. Thanks for posting anyway

Sad to hear that!!! Tim Minchin's on tv tonight though :P His 'Are you ready for this' tour! I'm sorry??? Tim Minchin recently sold out 2 nights at The Royal Albert Hall for £35 a ticket and you're complaining??? More acts might be announced closer to the gig which is what happened last time when Jimmy Carr and Russell Howard confirmed. No worries Snow! I felt the same way, hence why I put it up on here, it hasn't been publicized at all which is a real shame :) At least we'll be the lucky ones that get to go haha

Thanks for the heads up. It's not something I would have noticed otherwise.
