Was just looking for a new TV as I'm moving soon and starting basically from scratch.

Found this one, which seems quite cheap for a full HD tv, it's hard to even get a normal HD 32" for that price!

There is one problem though, it says abailable for pre order, andwhen you go to your basket it says "98 due in 32 to 34 days".

Also available in 2 other sizes:
37" for £400 - ebuyer.com/pro…998
42" for £499.99 - ebuyer.com/pro…999

Yes, the 42" is £499.99

ebuyer.com/pro…999

Are you sure its 1080p?
Res is stated as:

* Super High Definition VGA 1366 x 768

Which suggests its not 1080p!

Beat me to it!!

Ah, its only the HMDI which take up to 1080p, so not really a 1080p HDTV...

1366x768 = Not 1080p

eBuyer up to their old tricks of "Oh, but it accepts a 1080p signal (and then downscales it)".

Still, £300 not bad for a 32" LCD.

Ah sorry, I'm not all technical and everything I just presumed when it said 1080p that it was a proper 1080p TV

Foehn & Hirsch, never heard of em, who makes them?

I think that eBuyer are importing generic LCD TVs (and other electrical goods) from Asia and sticking their own trademarked name on it (in this case a German name since, Vorsprung Dur Technik....and stuff

ipo.gov.uk/tm/…tml - Looks like Ebuyer have trademarked Foehn & Hirsch for a variety of goods.

Ebuyer are bullsh*tting scumbags who who would do or say anything to make a sale and then say or do anything to avoid honouring a warranty.

(that'll bring the shills out ;-) )

Despite the fact that it isn't actually 1080p, it still seems like a good deal to me

Also just checked and the 42" version is a proper 1080p TV

32 day wait - by the time the thing arrives the price of 32" LCD would have dropped to £250..... OWN GOAL!

Seems like Foehn&Hirsch = ebuyer. Thats all a google search shows.???

This same exact deal was posted a few days ago and got voted ice cold. I bet its an ebuyer employee who is posting these deal, there are no review on any sets with this brand name.

AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Audio Power = 2 x 3 watts.. That is diabolical for a TV.

stick some foreign exotic sounding names together and the unwise will think it's Bang & Olufsen :whistling: (well eBuyer hopes so anyway)

Foehn in German means a warm wind (a bit like the Mistral in France), and by transference also a hairdryer. Hirsch means stag. If only the male deer was called a bull and not a buck, then you could have said that the brand was nothing more than hot air and bull.....:whistling:

The manufacturer's code suggests that the unit is from Korea

You probably won't have much trouble so long as it's a main brand and covered by the manufacturers warranty.

It seems to be the cheap chinese tat directly marketed by Ebuyer and grey market stuff where they are providing the warranty that they b*gger you about over.
