This looks like a great price to me for a feather and down duvet. Yes you can buy cheaper duvets but not with this filling. Debenhams own brand equiv will set you back around £70 making this HOT!

As seen in Clapham Junction store and online.

True eiderdown from the Eider duck is certainly superior to goose down. … True eiderdown from the Eider duck is certainly superior to goose down. It has more resilience, and will puff back up after being compressed far better than goose down does. It also interlocks with itself, and so doesn't shift about within the duvet nearly so much and so create bare places . (Goose down duvets have to have walls built into the duvet to stop this happening). The only problem is the expense. Goose down is from farmed geese, and usually from China, though Hungarian down is reckoned superior. Eider down is collected from the nests of wild ducks. Supply is limited, seasonal, and processing more costly. But an Eider down duvet will last forever. I still have one for a child's bed that my grandmother bought before WWII, and it's still perfectly useable. Go for it,

this is not an amazing deal, duvet & pillow warehouse offer similar prices all the time for feather & down duvets.

personally i only go for 100% down duvet, feather & down (this one is 85% feather, 15% down) as the feathers prickle me and annoy me

So right - feather and down really isn't that good. This is no bargain either - there are plenty of similar ones around at the same price or less. Just check Google.
Flombard

Microfibre as its cruelty free

My duvet is filled with specially cultivated cats.
I've had a goose and feather down duvet for quite a while.
Wont go back to synthetic or other cheaper varieties
Goose feather and down duvets are so warm and nice to get into.

Prices fluctuate. But theres always somewhere with a deal on.
Bricks and mortar try TKMaxx. Otherwise similar prices are on Amazon all year round.
These prices at Debenhams arent amazing. I'm sure they had these cheaper before. Maybe wait till the end of the sale and they will discount then even more,
In response to various posts, I've had cheap down and feather duvets in the past. I bought an all seasons Duvet (a summer nd autumn duvet that clip together and make a winter one) from John Lewis about 8 years ago (I think its Fogarty or something like that), cost about £120 and its in the same condition as when it was bought. I seriously don't see me ever replacing it unless something damages it. Oh its machine washable too (although its so big its a launderette job).

So, quality makes a big difference.
i picked up one from home bargains for £20 its soo comfy
These original rrp price are an advertising scam. That price is like when they first came out like a decade or more ago. As consumers most of us are now too wise for these price reduction tactics to make us buy unless we feel it is good value. I have a ducks feather and downs duvet for £30 from argos maybe about from 5-6 years ago. It is warm but I would love to have a all goose downs duvet but they cost a bomb. I have a berghaus 100% goose downs jacket, its so soft, warm and light. So get 100% goose down if you can afford it, otherwise feathers n down is better than nothing.
I sleep under two 13.5 tog duvets during the winter. I pretend I'm being sat on by a giant cat.

kingsize is cheaper here although snuggledown not fogarty 13.5tog.........same 85% goose feather and 15% down filling. argos.co.uk/sta…htm

Jesus. Your bedroom must be -6degrees every night. I'd sweat buckets under that.
Thanks a bargain , great that u dont pay postage to THANKS
Its cruel and wrong, dont buy.
Look up how they make these, and what they do to the animals, it will make you sick.
I bought a duck/goose duvet from Aldi last winter--it is lovely and warm but the feathers have moved to the outer edges of the quilt--although it is stitched into squares.....the stitching still seemsintact so dont know how its happened lol...still works ok and is still warm...but its put me off buying another..
Get a scratchy bottom in the winter
Good price. Heat added.

Heat added. I'm with the person ho said quality counts. I bought 15tog hollow fibre last year cheap in asda (£7 I think) and when they came they were so thick it was exhausting to put in the covers (singles) so then I treated us to duvets with down and they have been amazing light and warm! Also as far as I am aware Fogerty are a fab make and yea, u probably can get cheaper in another make but I think for the quality this is really hot (as long as the feather to down ratio isn't too high as the feathers can stick out of the quilt sometimes) HOT thank u for the post

Like the butcher this is why I pay them to do it for me :-)
I've got Fogarty down duvets and pillows. Cannot recommend them highly enough. This is a great deal. Muchos Heat.
