Thanks, totally forgot.

Rep added.

Rated Hot as it is the Foo's. But imo not a Greatest Hits, I'd still prefer to get all the originals (which I do have anyways), which you could probably pick up cheap as well.

very hot!! waited ages for this, got all their albums (par the one with pretender on cos long road to ruin made me want to be sick) but this is a must! cheers!!

crap all the songs the same

Love the trolling. Try listening to all their albums, and maybe check out the acoustic stuff too ...

^ This. It's more just a collection of singles rather than a greatest hits (not to say the singles aren't great though...). Great deal nevertheless.

Hot - a great collection from a great band. I'm not buying as I have all the other albums - but I did want the version of this which came with a DVD with the videos on. Does anyone know of any good deals for that version (if it's still available at all)?

hmmmmm like a few songs, but Dave isnt as talented as Kurt (sorry), it just aint the same

I'ts the Foo Fighters not Nirvana , numb nuts !

I know numb nuts, but most people who liked Nirvana jumped on the Foo Fighter band wagon hoping it would be just as good, but like I said without Kurt it isnt.

Foo Fighters ROCK!

Yeah exactly, I think for me the albums work well together. The mixed styles of these songs I really don't think would work being played back to back. I have never made a mixed Foo Fighters CD for the car, as they play through nicely each album and in order.
I am addicted to shuffling all playlists, I love not knowing what is next but with the Foo's and RHCP's I must listen to their songs in order, or at least one album at a time.

If you have a Cex store near you go in and see if they have any Foo Fighters CDs if people are interested, they are often priced at just £3-4. Or if you have another second hand CD store near you, try there. I know it is more, but if you like them, or want more of their stuff I'd suggest single albums.

Also whenever I think of Greatest Hits I always think of power ballards, pop artists, cult musical icons, now don't get me wrong I love the Foo Fighters and think they didn't get as much credit as they should have, but I think that in turn just made them cooler, but back to the point that I wouldn't have really expected a greatest hits album from them...other then extra revenue I suppose!

Don't hold Long Road to Ruin against them! Erase/Replace and Let it Die kick ass!

Where's 'D.O.A'????? :x

Smokin' hot.

What a load of narrow minded tosh. Having seen them at their first UK show at Kings College they were brilliant, it was clear that Dave was very talented in his right as a singer songwriter. Go listen to the original recordings of Marigold if you know anything about anything. Yes, people would have been curious to know what Dave was up to after Nirvana broke up, but Dave wasn't as revered or as popular a figure in Nirvana as he is now. Alot of people drifted from that scene after Kurts demise, moving to the utter turgid sh*t that was britpop. So that bandwagon stuff is just utter nonsense. Dave has a far better sense for melodies and hooks than Kurt and that was something that Kurt himself admired.

Foo's were slow burners only really taking off after The Colour and The Shape, which in my opinion is up their with anything that Nirvana did.

Probably because it seems like you were expecting Nirvana 2, which would have been pointless and disrespectful. Foo Fighters is an entirely separate entity, it just happens to share a band member with Nirvana. Man, I wish people would stop making the comparison!

I'd echo awoodhall2003's suggestion of getting the albums for the full experience, but if, somehow, you're new to the Foos and you're not quite sure which albums to buy first this could be a good place to start, I suppose!

I certainly didn't I liked Nirvana don't get me wrong, but Dave Grohl was a drummer FFS!
But he came out of that shell and done amazing, although it would have been interesting to see a lead man on drums for a band! But then we would have lost Grohls voice which is pretty unique really.

Share a member, who wasn't even an original member of Nirvana anyway! Also wasn't as if Grohl use to sing and songwrite for them, thus a very different band.

Actually listening to this right now... HOT!

Well, I'm not keen on Nirvana but love the Foo Fighters, so the change in style suits me.

Oh right, I didn't realise. I guess I'll stop liking the foos now because a dead drug addict was more talented than Dave Grohl.

Good price.

Personally I don't think it has to do with levels of talent, although Nirvana were big, they became a sort of cult status and why? Because Kurt killed himself...

I always thought Foo's didn't get the limelight they deserved, but I also think that helped them to keep on track of making good music, and not just banging out albums for the fans sake/pure profit margin.
Their styles are even different so how you can honestly compare I don't know, music is more to do with personal taste, not album sale. Just because something could be niche and only make 10,000 sales doesn't mean it is crap.
Damn I have a lot of music by unsigned artists on my PC/iPod, and they release some better tracks then some artists do today who sell by the millions! But it all comes down to personal taste!

Anyone any recommendations of artists I could try. I love Foos (hate Nirvana), like Greenday, Sum41 and even things like Fallout boy.

Try Rise Against and Alkaline Trio on the pop punky side and rival schools, hell is for heroes and we are scientists on the rocky side. I used to be into the same stuff.
