I read it in the shoe as poor
They do mainly wetsuits , Iv got one

Iv also got Velcro closing shoes , but only one strap which works ok

I can see having to make sure all 6 are closed in transition Being a problem tbh
I’ve got a similar Shimano pair, I’d wondered what they were for.
never heard of them and can't find reviews, but they have carbon soles and TriUK sell good stuff so maybe worth a try for beginners

Agreed great price for a full carbon sole. However with no reviews around its a gamble on the design as to whether these stiff soles give your feet hot spots or not on longer ride (as with some other makes I seem to remember reading reviews on).

Pretty ugly shoes though ( not that I'd care personally but it afflicts many others I ride with).

Being a UK size 9 should I go for 43 or 44?

In case anyone sees this looking for shoes, i wound up going to my local Halfords in Shirley and they had Shimano RP2's for £48 and then i talked to them and they extended their 20% off cycling clothing if you buy 3 or more items to include the shoes. I bought gloves and jersey to get the discount and all said and done the shoes cost just under £39. Did 50 miles on them today and am very happy with them.

Hi, sorry about the delay. They don’t appear to be or feel like carbon soles. I ended up going for the boardman shoes at Halfords for £50 as they have dials to tighten which I I’ve and they’re super comfy with a rigid sole

I wear 42-43 normally but they only had 43 in stock so that’s what I got and no complaints so far. I don’t have particularly wide feet so can’t help on that aspect
